TRAINING POST (401 words):

After some search, Dave found an area that seemed fit for Training. It had some space to run and battle, but also trees, rock and such.

„So, are u ready Whismur?“, Dave asked his Pokemon. „Whis?“, Whismur whondered. Once again, it didn´t realy know what was going on. „Ready for some serious training.“, Davion explained. After shortly thinking about it, Whismur seemed determined to do its best. Its trainer said: „That´s the spirit!“, and toghether with Whismur, he approached a huge rock. Dave put on his earmuffs and started to explain:
„We´ll train your voice today. I know it´s already awesome, but let´s see if you can´t get a crack into that rock. Shell we?“ Whismur noded. It placed itself directly infront of the rock.

„WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISMUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUR!!!“, it screamed, smashing massive soundwaves against the rock. The rock didn´t seem to be very impressed and reflected the waves, increasing there kinetic power and knocking back Whismur. Dave cought his partner, keeping it from being pushed to far. Whismur released what seemed like a sigh. „Don´t worry, you where doing great, just keep trying“, the Trainer tried to motivate his Pokemon. Whismur got back into position and tried once more, only to be rejected again.

The procedure repeated several times before Dave said: „Well, eather this stone is something special, or your attack isn´t focused enough. But don´t worry, i know you can make it!“ Whismur noted that up until then, it had send the soundwaves in a rather broad area. It stared at the rock as if it was its worst enemy. „WHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIS!!!“, it yelled, trying to release more concentrated soundwaves at the target. But due to being rather unpracticed in using its voice that way, it failed, being pushed back another time. Unable to stop it for once, Davion had to watch his partner crash into a tree.

Whismur started to cry terrebly, as its head hurt very badly. Dave quickly pressed down its ears, so it would stop crying, at the same time peting those ears. „Okay, i think thats enough for now. Just take a little nap.“ Whismur did as it was told, while Davion approached the stone. He noticed a small krack inside of it. He wasn´t quite sure wether it was caused by Whismurs last attempt to break it or by its painfull cry, but did it even matter? At least it was prove Whismur could do it.

(As long as no one else is here, Mods may also feel free to have me encounter some Pokemon, Trainer or someone who can teach my pokemon a new move^^)

From a nearby tree, the leaves in the tree rustled violently. An uncommon site for the Sinnoh region, a Spinarak (Spinarak, Male, lvl. 13) lowered itself down from the tree on a line of silk. It was watching Davion and Whismur and decided to approach. It calmly dropped itself from the tree and slowly approached Davion.

Being quite deaf from the sound-training, Davion didn´t notice the Spinarak. He held Whismur in his Arms while sitting in front of a tree. "Maybe Starly could use some Training, too, but then again, i need to be prepared in case a wild pokemon appears...", he said to himself, "Well, least i could let it out for once." He let the small bird pokemon out of its pokeball. "Starly, starly!", it said, being quite happy. "I see your doing quite well.", Dave said, while Starly flew onto his shoulder. It noticed the Spinarak and curiously stared at it.

"Spina, spin rak rak Spin." The Spinarak said to them happily. He tapped Davion's foot with one of his legs.

"Ow, how cute!", Davion said as he noticed Spinarak. If he wouldn´t be a Whismur-Maniac, he´d defenitely be a Bug-Maniac. "Hi little thing. So what are you?", he said as he used the Pokedex. "Wow, you are unusual company, i guess.", Dave said as he studied the entry.

Spinarak climbed a nearby tree and hung down from the branches with a silk string. He smiled and was generally friendly. It was obvious to see this Pokemon had no problem with Trainers.

Starly flew over to the branch the silk string was attached to. It exemined the string and looked as if it would like to peck it. "Don´t even think about it!", Davion said as he saw the way Starly looked at the string, "We don´t want to make Spinarak angry, do we? So come here please." Starly did as her trainer said, sitting on his shoulder again. Dave went over to Spinarak, taking Whismur and Starly with him. "That sleepin fellow here is Whismur, and that's Starly", he explained, showing his partners to the wild bug-pokemon. "We´re traveling and fighting together, would you like to join us?", he kindly asked Spinarak.

The Spinarak nodded, happy that someone wanted to catch him.

"Nice, welcome to the team!", Dave said while throwing a pokeball at Spinarak. Starly was moving its wings up and down in excitement while waiting for a new playmate to be cought.

Spinarak allowed itself to be drawn into the Pokeball. Once inside, the Pokeball had barely shook before Spinarak was caught.

Wild Spinarak has been caught! Would you like to give it a nickname?

After catching Spinarak, Dave set down next to a tree and took a little nap, so he and his pokemon could recover.

Afterwards, he took a look into a "New-Trainers-Guide" to see what order of getting badges was recommanded. Since Whismur got a little training and Spinarak made the team a gang of three, he thought it was finally time for his first Gym battle. "Well, first i need to travel a bit", he noticed, "and... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Stone-Type..." "Whis?", Whismur asked, wandering what Dave was so worried about.
"Are you wondering what I´m so shoked about?, its Trainer asked. As it noded, he said: "The first gym-fight is supposed to be against stone-type pokemon. So unless you realy learn to tear apart stones quickly we´re in trouble. And even then i´m not quite shur if what works against liveless stone would work against living stone." Whismur seemed to be quite disappointed. Wasn´t there something it could do?

Suddenly, Dave was seeing a small peace of paper flying in the wind. Out of couriosity, he cought it to read it: "Move-Tutor? Can teach your Pokemon (almost) any move? Route 212, aint that nearby? Whismur, what do us say?" Without any hesitation, Whismur took it´s trainer´s hand and draged him to the Move-Tutor.

Whismur gained 39 exp! Whismur grew to level 15 and learned Howl!
