04\14\2013 - Mark James - Lucretia - Kita DeFoe

A stranger rushed over to Kita, handing her a piece of paper. "Oh my god, it's another bounty," she screamed aloud, happily rushing away as other strangers watched her oddly. "Odd girl," they all said after she disappeared into the trees.

Kita glanced up, the girl seeming either frightened or overjoyed about this revelation. It was kind of hard to determine which. Her two Pokémon, Ella and Umber looked up to her from their respective sides in curiosity. Though, Ella seemed far more curious about the high energy girl that had just run off. "A bounty? I didn't even realize they still had these around," she said, unfolding the paper to read it.

The paper spoke of a guy that was burning down buildings for the sure joy of it, telling that he didn't even really care if others were watching him laugh about it. It told of his two pokemon, a snivy and a tepig.

"An arsenist? That's pretty messed up. He could end up killing someone over this!" Kita said, a bit enraged about it. She had been expecting sme petty thief, not this. "This guy needs to be stopped..." She said, scrunching the paper in her hand and lifting her head to look around. "Best place to start is to find out any available information on the guy..."

So Kita set off, asking the townspeople if they'd heard any rumors about the guy. Seeking any possibly helpful information. Were there any recent fires that seemed suspicious? Any men matching his description? Where was he last seen, and where he might strike next. She was looking for any patterns and bits of data to match up.

Two people came to her at one stop, and they looked her over curiously. "Aren't you a bit young to be hunting down criminals," they asked her, though they didn't really say anything further about her age. They had some useful information, though they told her something that was on the paper, and that was that his eyes were a color of purple. Next they took her to a building in the town that had just recently been burnt down, and if Kita looked, there would be a piece of paper that the man had left behind on the ground.

Kita looked a bit irate at the people's initial comments. What did age matter? She was trained in fighting styles and to use aura. She wasn't too worried about this guy, and believed she could take him down successfully. After a bit of useless and repetitive information she at least got a defining characteristic about the guy, and got to see one of his last targets.

She walked around the rubble, scanning the area. "Thanks for your help, I'll take it from here," she said, ducking under the caution tape to get a better look. "Ella, Umber search for any clues," Kita ordered, to which the Espeon and Umbreon quickly got to work. They were swift and agile, covering a good lot of ground as Kita too searched. Finally her Umbreon returned to her, paper in his maw.

"What's this?" Kita queried, gently taking the slip from Umber. She gave him a gentle pat on the head, and stood up with the note. She unfolded the paper to again read what may have been written inside.

The note didn't have much information, other than a couple of tally marks on it. There was also a number that seemed to be erased, with the digit meaning one on it. There were other locations on it as well, all of which would be locations that Kita heard from other strangers, though there were no numbers, just tallies, beside them. The locations were also scratched out,

"Ugh...what the heck is this suppose to even mean?" Kita groaned. Puzzles like this had never been her strong suit. She figured the tallies might have something to do with how many buildings had been burned, so she decided to walk around and ask some more questions. This time, she brought up the few locations she could make out on the paper, asking how many times they had been victimized by this arsonist. She had to make a connection or else he would strike again before she could take action. She decided to be safe, and get the names of buildings as well as the dates they were burned.

"Well, that's a good question," one person said to her. "Come," he then said, leading her to a computer that he had turned on. He had been tracking the number of buildings burnt, and where he had found the information. The thing was, the numbers he had matched exactly the numbers that Kita had on the piece of paper she had found. The next predicted location that the man had didn't match hers though. Suddenly, a person ran screaming into the pokemon center. "A building's on fire," she screamed, a bit of smoke entering the center since there was a building near it on fire.

Kita's face turned grim, clenching her teeth and fists as she heard the news. "Tsk," she grunted, rushing from the building. She saw it was on fire, but as she had no water types there was nothing she could do about it. However, she did instead carefully look around for anyone matching the descriptions provided. Anyone with purple eyes, or anyone smiling or laughing at the burning. Hck, she was even on the look-out for any Snivy or Tepig! "Keep on your toes," Kita warned her companions, who were alert, ears twitching and ready. They wouldn't be caught flat-footed.

A snivy was watching from a man's shoulders, him looking at the building on fire. "You really overdid yourself this time tepig," he laughed, talking to his pokemon praising it. That could be the reason behind why the pokemon was so into burning everything in the first place.

Kita's eyes turned dark, locking in on the man. She was ready to fight, both her and her Pokémon. "Ella, use Tackle, Umber use Helping hand!" Kita ordered, feeling a familiar darkness begin to overwhelm her. The people screaming in fear, and his laughter only fueling her rage further. "Go, now!" She shouted, her dark energy pulsing forth and energizing her Pokémon. Umber assisted Ella, trying to make her Tackle attack more efficient as she went in to strike the man's Tepig. Kita on the other hand rushed in herself. She wasn't taking this guy lightly, putting so many lives in danger. A blue aura formed around her hands, clenched in fists. She went to strike him in a blind fury.

The man heard someone coming in fast, Kita's movements not really that quiet. He grabbed his two pokemon, jumping aside to hopefully dodge both of the incoming attacks. "Alright, time to leave," he said to himself, turning fast and starting to rush out.

The man may have been swift, but Kita had been trained from the time she was a young child. She could keep up with almost anyone, both her and her Pokémon turning sharply to follow his movements. She rudely pushed people aside, tunnel visioned on her goal. This man had to be stopped. Manners were not a priority currently. "Umber, Ella, send a Shadow ball at their feet, try to trip them up!" Kita ordered, still charging forward. The two Eeveelutions did as they were told, maw opened launching a dark orb at the feet of the man and his Pokémon.

The man wasn't expecting that an attack would be sent at his feet. He was expecting them to be aimed at his pokemon, and he ducked a bit before the attacks took him down, his pokemon rolling away a bit.

"Good," Kita said, still rushing at the man. Naturally, her Pokémon were faster. "Now tackle!" She ordered, the Pokémon aiming for Snivy and Tepig. Kita was focused on the man herself, a black energy seeming to spew from her eyes and mouth as she glared at him. Her hands still had the blue aura around them, and she intended to use it against him.

The man recalled his pokemon before the attacks could land. He wasn't really looking for a fight. "I just want fire," he yelled at Kita before he got up. "Is there something so wrong with that."

"When it puts hundreds of lives at risk?" Kita began, her overall appearance now quite frightening. Her two Pokémon hit the ground, shaking their heads in mild confusion before turning their attention to Kita and the arsonist. "How about when it costs hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of damage?" She raised her hand, the blue sparking up greater. The blackness began to swirl within it. "Or the irreplaceable memories you have destroyed for the sake of it?" Umber and Ella began to growl, closing in on the man from angles to prevent a hasty retreat. "Yes, the is plenty wrong with it..." Kita said darkly.

Mark looked at Kita when she started to prepare an attack at him. "And what exactly are you going to do about it," he asked her. "It isn't like you should be saying anything about it. From what I see, you might just be as destructive as I am."

"Hardly," Kita said, assured of her actions. He was just trying to fake her out so he could get away, and it wasn't going to happen. She might look like a menace, but she had already stopped an epic battle from destroying half of Kanto with her abilities before. Well, and a little help from Articuno, but that was besides the point. "You use fire to destroy, I use this to rectify," she said, swinging her fist at him, ducking low then sweeping her leg into the air in a spin-kick trying to knock him off balance. Her motions were swift, and pretty accurate too.

Mark looked at Kita as the kick landed, sending him down towards the ground. He hit his head pretty hard, landing and getting knocked out, leaving just enough time for Kita to get the bad guy. A crowd was watching Kita, wondering just who she was.

Ating quickly, Kita didn't waste a moment. She quickly pounced on Mark, the arsonist, flipping him onto his stomach. She dug her feet in on either side of his back, kneeling above him as she tied his hands back with her belt. "Somebody call the police, don't just stand there! Can't you see, this guy is the one who started the fire?!" Umber and Ella joined Kita at her side, ready to defend her in case anything should go wrong.

One of the strangers did as told, calling for the police, who didn't take that long to arrive, considering they were in the middle of town. "That's definitely him," one said to Kita, clapping a bit. "So, we'll take him off of your hands, but you need to get off fo him first."

Kita had waited, making sure he wouldn't try to up and run until he got there. Still, she was almost wary when she stood up to let the police take him. "I would like to help escort him to the police station, if you don't mind," Kita said with an offer, wanting to make sure he got there safely and secure. "I suggest taking away his pokeballs too, just in case he wakes up."

The policemen had already done that. "You'd have to come with us anyway. You have to claim your reward there," they said to her, picking up the man and making sure that he was cuffed appropriately. He woke up and started squirming, though it wasn't like he could really do anything much about it.
