A combination of rigid and fluid, she takes in what is most familiar to her and makes the best from the situation. In hand to hand combat, she will stand her ground until an opportunity arises, and then strike back to use the opponent's strengths against them. She tries to do the same with her Pokémon, training them in such fashions. This does not mean she's above using status affecting moves, however. She knows well enough that any advantage is better than none.

.::Personality::.
Akane tends to be a rather serious individual, most of her humor being snarky comments or sarcastic remarks. Due to her abilities, she focuses greatly on trying to hone them for future use through rigorous training exercises, only making her serious disposition moreso. This drives many people away from her, as the air she puts off isn't too friendly or inviting. It doesn't help that she doesn't seem to be much of an empathizer when it comes to people's disadvantages in life. Through her eyes, life is life and needs to be lived. If you rely on others then you're nothing more than a leech to society.

Akane enjoys the power she has within her, both through her elemental blood lines and physically as a trained human. Sparring is one of her favorite pass-times, and one of the few things she considers to be fun. As such, battling Pokémon is second nature to her and she finds it to be an enjoyable sport. Few things supersede her training in priority, as she sees the progress as her ultimate goal.

Akane has a large appetite, and loves to eat almost anything. However, she is generally turned off of or flat out repulsed by overly sweet foods. Poppy-seed muffins seem to be the one exception to this though, as the aroma, texture, and taste bring back fond memories for the girl. She can out-eat a full grown man more often than not, shocking most people due to her tiny physique.

As for personal interactions, Akane is not the most social butterfly. I fact, she's more like a cocoon. Not to say that she doesn't have blossoming moments, but they are few and far between. She can only tolerate certain kinds of people for extended times, making her resort to a lonely life most of the time.

.::History::.
Akane was born a few years before the eruption happened on Cinnabar Island. Unfortunately, she was an unwanted child and quickly put up for adoption. Most people were shocked by the child's white hair, but she was placed in foster homes regardless. She spent the first few years of her life like this, but whenever something strange would happen she would be moved to another foster home. Wherever she went, strange things would happen. Minor earthquakes, foundations beneath homes being compromised. They said she was bad luck.

At the age of four, she was playing in a sandbox at her newest foster home. The other children were teasing her for h white hair, and the rumors of bad luck. With a single swipe, the better part of the sand in the box rushed like a wave at the children, and Akane ran crying off toward the foot of the volcano crying. An elderly man approached her, to which she began to throw a fit. She felt rage toward anyone now, all humans. She stomped her feet, the earth rumbling each time as she screamed at the man. His eyes widened, recognizing the condition.

The volcano erupted that fateful day. It was her fault, though she didn't know it. Still, the man had protected her by fleeing to high grounds with her wrapped in his arms. For being old, he was shockingly strong and fast. He raised her under his care, teaching her to control her abilities so that such an incident wouldn't happen again. It wasn't until later that he found she was a cross of two lineages, not one.

At the age of seven, Akane and the old man lived on the now abandoned island. The volcanic soot was rich with nutrients, making their garden thrive. Akane would go swimming in the ocean, and capture fish for meals. She thought their life was perfect. She had even learned to summon the water up from the body, capturing the fish in small bubbles. This made her very efficient. Upon seeing this trick, the man continued his training with her though more vigorous now. He knew his time in this world couldn't be forever.

By the time she was 15, Akane had become a skilled fighter both in hand to hand combat as well as with her special abilities. The man never explained to Akane how he knew about the blood lines, or that is was in fact in her blood that these abilities passed on. She only knew that he was her father for all intents and purposes. She could tend to the garden herself, cook and clean the fish. In fact, the old man had slowed down over the years and she took care of him more than he did her now.

The man passed that year, leaving Akane alone in the world again. She buried him at the base of the mountain, where they had first met. She continued her training daily, and was becoming disappointed that other people started to return to the island to inhabit it once more. It had been her home for so long. Her, the old man, and the Pokémon near by. They had lived peacefully and now it was going to be stirred up.

She had nicknamed several of the Pokémon nearby who came often. Raja for instance, the Eepress. She was often in the waters near where Akane would swim. On occasion she would follow Akane back to the cottage, where she would be treated with some food. Then there was Izo the Chilibear, who was very out of place on the island. Akane's best guess was that he had been abandoned there when the volcano erupted. He often hung out around the cottage for companionship and food. 

Above all others though, was Tarik. A strange rabbit like creature with stars on his ears and a moon on his head. He often watched over Akane in her day to day tasks, especially her training. After a while, he even began to train with her, the two becoming regular sparring partners. They share a bond that can't be explained.

Years passed, and Akane was now 17. The island was again inhabited by people, even if not as many as there used to be. She packed up, deciding it was time to set out from her home. There was nothing left for her. At the shrine of her teacher, the three Pokémon met up with her, and refused to leave her side. With a soft smile, Akane allowed them to join her as partners before leaving the island.

Personality: Raja prefs to be in the water, where she is faster than almost anyone. That's only natural for her species though, and she's happy to stay on land and train with Akane if need be. She's relatively friendly, though protective of Akane.

Personality: Izo has a shockingly friendly personality for an ice type Pokémon. He enjoys sparring with Akane, and looks forward to the day he evolves so that Akane can go all out.

Personality: Tarik is usually pretty serene, and his personality often matches Akane's the closest. He is her preferred sparring partner, and the two are definitely bonded beyond the stars and back.
