Pokemon World League Opening Ceremony (Staff Only)

A Mansion in Undella Town was busily being prepared for the Pokemon World League Opening Ceremony that was to be held on Saturday, this event being the largest in the history of Pokemon World RPG. It was going to be streamed live across every region on Saturday and only those with invites were allowed entry. Chandeliers were hanging from the ceiling, circular tables like you would find at Award Ceremonies were being put out and covered with white cloths each matching it's respective Gym Leader's theme. A Stage was at the front of the large Event Hall, with all of the technical things such as, Lights, Microphones and Sound Systems.

Pokemon were moving around quickly listening to each of their trainers orders rushing to get the event ready in time, the event taking 3 days to set up, which was the 18th through to the night 20th.

(Just setting up the topic and showing how big the event actually is that it's taking three days to set up, not actually going to take place until, the night Saturday)

Things were starting to come together but, they were still far from finished, the presenter for the night pacing up and down the stage practicing what he was going to say on the night, worrying that nothing was going to be ready in time, though the organizers figured they had everything under control, the press meanwhile began pulling up outside to get the best spot, the best view of history in the making, they then began trying to get interviews with the organizers to try and get the best scoop on what was happening exactly, trying to extract the details from them about the night.

(Still not time for staff to join until Saturday, as I say i'm only updating it day by day to build up both, anticipation and scale about the event)

(Finally the day is here, was gonna start the Ceremony at 15:00 GMT but then figured, timings are different in different places around the world and, i'm seriously excited about it so, let's get this party started lol also, unseen are the chandelier's on the ceilings and various other lighting and sound systems)



The venue was finally complete, and everything set up, now the event, could start. The press began getting their camera's ready and the staff for the event: Presenter's, Waiter/Waitress, Pianist, were all set. Now they just had to wait for Gym Leaders to be, to start arriving.

First to arrive on a White Motorbike, was Astral Synaris, the Psychic Gym Leader to be, Astral removing his motorcycle helmet, and dismounting the bike. He then smiled and waved to the camera's before answering a few questions, not giving too much away, the Valet then parked his motorbike and one of the Organizer's lead him inside to the green table, Astral taking a seat and waiting for his fellow gym leaders to arrive all camera's on him whilst waiting for the others. Astral then had an idea as there were ten seats he let out all of his pokemon who took a seat and waited as well whilst talking with Astral. The Pianist playing in the background.

It was wonderful dawn in Cerulean and Rain was just finishing riding a huge wave. But then Misty and Marlon came looking at him with poker face. "Do you have ANY clue what time it is?" shouted Misty while Marlon was too occupied watching how nearby crabbys are playing. Rain took a peak and saw that its almost time for the PWL opening ceremony. He then took all his stuff and since his closet was 100% swimming shorts and since he didn't got time to go shopping he put on blue swimming shorts with staryu and starmie on them. Misty has been waiting near the helicopter while Marlon was in it (He was returning to Humilau city) "Good Luck, and have a good time." said Misty and waved them while they were flying up in the sky.

Rain and Marlon landed in Humilau, from where Rain is supposed to drive in car to Undella. When he arrived and get out of the car he had to... blink. He didn't quite liked all that flashing from the cameras and lights. When he came to himself, he put on a fake but nice smile and entered the Mansion. Receptionist waited to take his jacket but he didn't have any, so he entered the main room. He saw a wonderful room with all kind os fancy stuff. Luckily there was Astral, and he felt relief. He came first to psychic master to say hello, and then return to his nicely decorated blue desk and took a seat. Then he let out all his pokemon except for Wailord as he is too big and ordered them nice food and a bunch of water.

Star was siting in Nimbasa a bit dazed. "I swear I was supposed to do something," she muttered. Her bright red eyes gazed upon the people passing through the amusement park with mild interest. She usually wasn't out during the day much, but she kept having the fleeting feeling she was suposed to do something. She felt a nudge at her side, and glanced over to see her Absol with a small sheet of paper in her mouth. She took the paper, looked it over, then sighed. "I guess that thing was today. I'd better head out then." She got to he feet, and not a moment later, a young jogging boy barreled straight into her. She gave him a menacing glare, and the boy shuddered. Without a word, he ran as fast as he could away. Star got into her ride, and headed to te event.

When she finally arrived in a jet black sports car, she was immediately blinded by flashes of light and overwhelmed by shouting voices. She quickly ran inside the building to seek shelter from the chaos out side. She noted the fancy and expensive interior with some intrest, but was scoping the room for a different reason. She noticed two other people inside, and assumed they were other gym leaders. Finding what she was looking for, she released all of her Pokemon, and sat in the darkest corner of the room. With a yawn, she leaned against her Absol, and began napping.

Astral returned the greeting and decided it was a good idea ordering some food for himself and his pokemon as well. Soon the waiters returned with their food, placing it on the tables, Astral and his pokemon tucking in. He then noticed the third Gym Leader enter the room extending a greeting to her and watching as she went and napped, he merely shrugged it off though and continued eating.

(Oh, is it okay if I add some more Pokemon to my party for Honou?)
Honou Akarui was relaxing in a hot spring with her two Pokemon, when one of her trainer assistants from her gym ran over to her in a hurry.
"What's up?"
She asked, still submerged in the hot spring. The rejuvenating waters felt soothing against her skin, and it was the hottest waters in the entire building. She had made it this way, so that she could train her heat tolerance. The trainer assistant was huffing and puffing, and finally managed to speak, despite her exhaustion.
"Do you even know what a special day today is?!"
Honou looked confused. Special day? Wasn't today just a regular day? The assistant seemed to know what Honou was thinking, and answered her own question.
"It's the opening of the World League! If you don't hurry and get ready, you're going to be late!"
Honou's eyes widened.
"SHOOOT!!"
The gym leader hurried to get out of the hot spring and into her clothes. Once she finished that, she picked up her Flareon, and returned her Ninetails to his PokeBall, then sprinted to her vehicle.

Honou arrived in a crimson red sports car. She seemed very excited about the opening. Once her car was parked, she jumped out with a smile. When she entered the building, her mouth gaped at the wonderful decorations inside. Her Flareon followed her while looking around, and Honou's mouth widened into a smile once she saw Astral, Star, and Rain.

(Yupp, your a gym leader, of course and thank you for complimenting my decorating lol)

Astral nodded to her smiling and waving as a chaperon led her over to an orange table which was specially designed for a fire type trainer, the decor for it, having a fiery theme. Astral then took a look around realizing it was only Trina they were waiting for now, he then looked at his watch and smiled getting back into the conversation with his pokemon, about the food, the classical music from the piano, the decor and the other gym leaders.

"Umm, Trina? What are you still doing here?" Jasmine asked in her meek voice. Trina was still hanging around Olivine Gym, seemingly oblivious. "Aren't you...well you know, supposed to be..."

"Huh? What are you talking about? Jasmine, you need to speak up," Trina said, much more loudly than the other Gym leader. "It's awfully slow today, where do you suppose everyone is? I was itching for some action today!" Trina said, sighing and tossing her hands behind her hear.

Jasmine became flustered, face turning pink. "I- I'm..." She said quietly still, only to be interrupted by more of Trina's jabbering. "TRINA, THE EVENT!" She finally shouted, eyes closed and embarrassed.

"Huh?" Trina asked, blinking. It took a lot to get Jasmine going like that most of the time. "Event...OH- The opening ceremony! That's TODAY?!" Trina shouted, not quite giving Jasmine time to respond before rushing out the door.

Finally Trina had arrived, her car pulling up slowly. Everyone else was already inside with their food. How long had they been waiting, she wondered. He face turned a little red as she dragged her hand down it embarrassedly. She took a couple breaths to compose herself, though she was hardly dressed for the occasion since she'd rushed right from the Gym.

She stepped from the car, smiling and waving to the cameras, ultimately ignoring the flood of reporters asking her questions. She stepped inside, looking around at the others with their Pokémon at the respective tables. The only one open now was the pink one, pretty much matching Trina's hair and attire.

"Pink? I wonder why they picked that~" the girl chimed obliviously, taking her seat and allowing her mass of Eeveelutions to join at her side. "Alright guys, let's get some food!" She said excitedly to her partners, who all cooed and barked happily in response.

Astral smiled a breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Trina arrive, as did the organizers. The organizers then gave each other a nod before signaling the Presenters, who looked to the camera's which rolled the opening news sequence for the piece on the Pokemon World League, then looking around to the gym leaders,
"Welcome everyone to the opening ceremony, of the Pokemon World League where today we're gonna witness history in the making a unification of the regions with help from Rain, Astral, Trina, Star and Honou"
Astral looking around awkwardly at this, he then said
"So, then let's get the Ceremonies started"
various acts performing, such as Dancing Maractus, Singing Gardevoir, Acrobatics from the Pan six, before finally returning to the Presenters just as a Magmortar lit a flame to signal new beginnings.

The Presenters then moved over to a podium opening envelopes containing each Gym Leader's badge which they had designed for their gyms, along with the keys to their gyms. They then began to speak,
"Now it's time to present the first of the World League Gym Leaders, The Leader of the league with his badge and keys so, Rain come and accept your new responsibilities and your new gym"
Astral and co. clapped as, the looked on excited about the grand event.

When they called Rain on the stage he was nervous, but he looked on the window and saw Marlon and Misty with her sisters cheering on him. Then Rains face turend from nervous to happy and confident face. He stood up and walked on the stage and shook hands with the presenters. Rand then faced the cameras and the people who were present:

"Good evening everyone. My name is Rain Sapphire and I am the gym leader of Cerulean city along side mis. Misty. It is my honor to be the leader of Pokemon World League and I will do my best to make it successful. The purpose of this is to unite all regions and trainers who live allover the world, as well as to show who has the potential to become the champion! Sadly the only region that isn't included is Hoenn region, but we will hope that it will join our league in near future. And also i would like to wish good luck to all trainers who are about to challenge our league!"

Rain then took his keys and Flood Badge which shined and made the room aqua-blue for a moment. Then he returned to his place and continued eating!

Star was woken by the enthusiastic sound of clapping, and she groggily joined in. She looked at her eight Pokemon that still sat around her, some eating, some dozing just as she had, and the others glancig around curiously. Her Umbreon was looking intently to a pink table, filled with his evolutionary counterparts. Her greatest friend and partner, Houndoom, looked to an orange table with an air of fire. She grinned, "Go ahead," she prompted them, and the two departed to humor their curiosities, Umbreon to the pink table and Houndoom to the orange.

Star sat back and admired the water gym leader's charisma. With a start, she realized she hadn't prepared any sort of speech, but decided it wasn't too late to get a little improv. experience. She pulled her black cape around herself, and scoped the rest of the room. Her small Zorua jumped onto her head, wanting to get a better look at the stage. "Wonder who'll be next," she said, voicing her curiosity outloud, but not expecting a reply.

Astral and co. clapped, The presenters then taking a look around the room and signaling to everyone to calm down, the female presenter then started to speak into the microphone
"Next up is the secondary leader of the league, he's calm and collected, it's Astral, come and accept your new role in the league"
Astral looking around before rising from his seat, his pokemon smiling and cheering him on, stepping up onto the stage he approached the microphone, looking to the camera's and the others,
"Hey everyone, I'm Astral Synaris, here to provide a cool head for the league alongside the others like, Rain. I operate within Canalave City with Byron though now I have my own duties which I look forwards to completing, I wish all that should challenge us the best of luck and hope to meet you all soon"
He then took his keys and Mystery Badge which shined just like Rain's did, changing the colors of the room green. He then returned to his seat again, talking with his pokemon once more.

The male presenter then started with his next introduction
"Third to take to the stage and help in looking after the league as it's third-in command, is the distant yet, single-minded Star! It's your turn to come and accept your new role within the league"
looking to Star and getting the keys and badge ready for her. Astral and co. clapping her on.

Star clapped for Astral before getting onto her own feet. Her Pokemon all cheered her on, and he Zorua jumped off of her head and made the illusion of fireworks bursting through the room. Grinning at the touch, she took to the stage. She grabbed he microphone and chuckled.

"Honestly," she said, "I never imagined myself as a gym leader. I hope to do my mentor, Elesa, as well as the other gym leaders proud," she didn't say any names, mostly because she had forgotten them. "I'll do my best to be a worthy challenge, and look forward to all of the trainers I'll meet." With that, she took the Dusk Badge and the key. She held the badge just as the other leaders had, and the room was plunged into darkness with a hint of a red light. She walked back to her seat, watching the rest of the event.

Astral smiled at Star when she sat down, The female presenter took to the microphone next,
"Fourth for the league, is young and edgy with an interest in the Eevee's, it's Trina! Come on up and collect your Badge and Keys"
smiling at Trina as she prepared the badge and keys for her, Astral clapping, Trina onto the stage.

Trina's Pokemon welcomed the Umbreon to the group with a unified coo, Trina's own Umbreon tilting its head curiously at the look-a-like. Trina giggled a bit, looking on at the proceeding ceremony. The others had speeches, some were more prepared and well executed. Others were clearly lacking in effort prior. Still, Trina couldn't say much having all but forgotten about the Ceremony save for a few hours ago.

The others badges shined, casting various effects across the room to which spectators oohed and ah'd. It was pretty entertaining, especially the reactions of her own Pokemon, who glanced about the room in awe, ears twitching and eyes sparkling in wonder. It brought a smile to Trina's face to see such a simple happiness.

Finally her name was called, causing her to rise from her seat to the sound of applause. She chuckled nervously, waving a bit and rubbing the back of her head with her other hand. She reached the podium, tapping the microphone once. "Uh, my name is Trina, and I share in at the Gym in Olivine City of Johto along side Jasmine. I'm gonna be totally honest. I didn't know we were gonna be speaking at tonight's event...so, for lack of a well prepared speech, I suppose the following will have to suffice..."

Her heart fluttered, and knees trembled. Put her on the spot in a Pokemon battle and she would flourish with style. Public speaking? Not so much. She took a breath. "Though we come from many different regions, and our customs may not all be the same...We all live under the same moon, and the same sun. We share this earth together, and this is our true sign of unity, may the League thrive!"

She walked awkwardly away from the microphone to receive her badge. The tri-colored trinket shone with a brilliant light, casting a barrage of beautiful colors across the room for only a moment. The Trinity Badge was now officially recognized, and the keys to the gym were handed over to Trina before she returned hastily to her seat.

The male Presenter looking around the room for the final time calling out
"Now for the final Gym Leader of the night who has a fiery spirit and is going to be leading the 5th gym of the Pokemon World League, It Is Honou! Come on up here!"
The female presenter meanwhile, getting her Badge and Keys ready.

Honou jumped up at the mention of her name. She quickly did a backflip in the air, and landed on the stage with a smile. She was excited to finally get her badge. Accepting the Lumen Badge, she proudly presented it in the air with a wide smile, and her Pokemon hopped towards her to greet her. Honou also accepted the keys, and proudly jumped back to her seat with her Pokemon right behind her. She also put her keys away into her bag and placed her badge in a secret pocket in her jacket.

The presenters then announced
"And that marks the end of the ceremony everyone, feel free to enjoy food and drink, menu's are on your table should you require them"
Astral nodding as he rose from his seat, having already eaten taking one look around the room,
"Well, I guess I should be getting back to the gym so, one of us is ready for a challenger, and I look forwards to seeing you all again soon, good luck"
Astral then heading towards the door
"Later Rain"
he said in a friendly way, then going outside smiling for a few camera's, putting on his motorcycle helmet and getting on, as he started the engine, riding off towards the airport where he boarded his personal helicopter.

Within an hour he was at his castle-like gym, landing on the helicopter pad, parking his motorbike in the gym garage and moving to his favourite place to think, the front right turret looks over it across the forest towards the centre of Canalave City as his gym was on the outskirts of it.

Rain and his pokemon had a great meal and they applauded to every gym leaders speach. After everyone finished and Astral went to his gym, Rain looked at the window and saw raging Misty wanting to break the window and get inside (luckily her sisters held her, otherwise she would slap Rains spagetti to his face).
"Well this was nice, return everyone." said Rain and returned his pokemon. When he exited the mansion it was still full of medias and reporters. Misty took him and threw Rain into the helikopter and entered it (Cerulean sisters went to go shopping through out unova).
When they returned to the Cerulean gym, Misty already started blabbering about how to use the gym, what are the rules.... after a while she stopped talking and calmly said "I know you will lead this gym well bro, I'm very proud.". Rain smiled and gave her a hug " Yes sis, I will do my best."
