Fallout RP

War, war never changes...
I'm sure you've heard the stories, the Lone Wanderer from Vault 101 in the Capital Wasteland, or perhaps the tale of Courier Six and the Battle of Hoover Dam in the Mojave. Now it's time for a new story, but first, new exposition. Every Vault was built with a purpose. Vault 99 was to see what depth a vault could go too. Not in some metaphorical sense, they built the vault like a tower, lots of floors, all the way down. Well, as far as they could dig that is. Once the builders could go no deeper, they brought in the people and sealed the doors. That was years ago, when the bombs fell. Nature stood strong and the mountains of New York where vault 99 was built kept it safe. Now the doors are opening and a new story starts. Where do you fall? Had you been surviving on the wastes around the mountains, or were you a vault dweller. Tell us about yourself then we can start the adventure.

Umm...Fallout isn't an anime Atlas, it's an RPG, been around since 97, fallout 3 and New Vegas are the big games in the series. I'd say do some digging, but you won't need to do much besides type Fallout into google to figure it out.

Special skills: enhanced sight and hearing, able to hack/repair/invent machines/weapons given the right equipment. Slightly abnormal strength, speed, reaction speed, accuracy and intelligence for his “age” (e.g. he has the strength equal to a healthy 30 year old man).
Brief history: Alfa was a social experiment being conducted within the vault. He is an android who looks and thinks he is a human. He was programed with false memories and vast knowledge (just allowing him to perform the skills above and he would be thinking he is learning through trial and error so he wouldn’t be starting with the information he actually already knows). He also has emotions and will act just like a human and eat for example (which is converted into energy) he breaths air as a cooling filter….you get the idea he is basically an odd “human”.

Origin: Vault Dweller. Like the other kids in the vault, he was spoonfed the lies that 'the outside world was uninhabitable, dangerous and absent of any intelligent life.' He was the kid who played pranks on the bullies as payback for messing with his friends.
Special Skills: Lockpicking and later a bit of Energy Weapons. Prefers to be undetected where possible.

I sat there, polishing my gun. There wasn't much else I could do. I wasn't old enough to go out and scavenge in the cities, but I was still the oldest kid in town still. At least they let me have a gun...and a knife. Sighing I stood up and looked around, then up at the mountain. It'd had been making strange noises lately. Realizing that no one was really watching me, I holstered my gun and grabbed my bag of supplies. A couple stimpacks and ammo, along with a few other odds and ends. Climbing up the mountain I didn't notice much...till I found the door. It was a massive circle in the side of the mountain. Instinctively I drew my revolver and aimed. Taking cautious steps towards the open door i regretted not bringing a light. "Hello?" I shouted, hearing my voice echo through the walls.

I however, with my enhanced eye sight managed to see Joe making his way up the mountain
"What is that kid doing?"
I asked myself, before holstering my Revolver and Combat Knife; Picking up my supplies bag and slinging it over my shoulder, I advanced up the mountain hoping I could get to him before, he got himself killed. Soon I reached the same doorway which Joe had entered this being because, I had a higher than average running speed. Drawing my Revolver I called out
"Hey Kid, you in here?"
taking a look around before, tapping a button on a wrist watch I was wearing, a Flash Light activating on it, this being a handy device for when I needed my hand to be free for a fight. With that I progressed in looking around for Joe.

Alfa walked out from the vault's door wondering to expect, he looked out at the wasteland spread out before his eyes through his helmets goggles. he walked past the boy not noticing him, he was taking deep breaths of the filtered air from the built in gas mask of his helmet, the view of how huge the world out side the vault was.

I wouldn't have thought much of him had he not been wearing armor. Turning I point my revolver at him. "What are you doing here? What is this place? And...why are you wearing that armor? The rads here aren't that bad, they get worse if you head too far south, but we're fine here." Despite the fact that I don't thing anything will go wrong, I keep my revolver trained on him.

I then, made my way over to them once hearing the voices. Then quickly firing a shot at the gun in Joe's hand to clip the handle with my extreme accuracy attempting to disarm Joe
"Hey, don't aim your gun at an unarmed person, what are you doing up here anyway?"
I remarked and with that I made my way towards them, once within a meter I semi-asked and informed
"You're Joe ain't ya? The name's Miles"
Turning to Alfa I asked
"So, then who would you be?"
picking up Joe's gun and returning it to him, signaling him to holster it knowing my speed and accuracy with a gun was unmatched and therefore unnecessary to have two aimed at the supposed man let alone out, holstering my own. I awaited an answer from Alfa.

Once Alfa herd voices he turned around to see people arguing. He only said one thing "the air is breathable?". He then saw the guns and back up putting his hand on his holster.

When Jason heard that the Vault Door was opening for the first time, he did not want to miss the chance to see what the outside world was really like. He was one of the select few to go out first and 'test the water'. He was in the room adjacent to the Vault Door, putting on his radiation suit when he heard a gunshot very close by. Alarmed, he cautiously and quietly moved to the place where the Door had been slid open to and peaked outside. He saw his friend Alfa, along with two other people he did not recognize. Their guns were holstered, so he revealed himself and asked, "Who are you people? And why aren't you wearing radiation suits?!".

I swore when someone shot my hand. Looking up to see Miles. I grab my gun and holster it. Shaking my hand to make sure it still works, and it does. "You didn't have to shoot me." Then I heard the stranger in armors comment. "Why wouldn't the air be breathable." Then the guy in the silly yellow suit stepped out. "How long have you guys been down here?"

"That is unknown to me." He answered the boys question "I was born in Vault 099 and my parents died in Vault 099. But they told me stories of the world outside and how it was lush with green and blue and any colour imaginable." Alfa turns to his fellow vault dweller "Jason, were you given permission to leave the vault?" He turns back to the other people "are you hostile?" He was curious, if they were humans why weren't they in the vault? We're there more like them?

(Technically, I thought i'd made it clear he shot the handle of the gun but, ok that works too)

I looked to the now trio, listening to each comment and saying
"Well, I'm not hostile unless, you are let's put it that way"
I then turned to `Jason` the new guy and said
"You probably heard me tell him but, I'm Miles, and you are?"
extending my hand towards him in friendly but, not too forceful manner.

"Yeah... lush with colors.... that's what they said..." He remarked at the obvious sarcasm. "The Overseer told me to be here so..." *Miles speaks* "The names Jason Gates." He said as he extended his hand.
"Alfa ease up, they seem like friendly people. So are you guys from some kind of other Vault or something?"

I shook Jason's hand and said
"Nice to meet you Jason"
before, shaking my head
"Nah, we live just at the base of the mountain in a little settlement, perhaps you guys could come and check it out, everyone down there's fairly friendly"
indicating out of the vault door.

"There's more of these things?" I say, looking around the door. "But yeah, Miles and I have spent our whole life at the base of the mountain, just living. It wasn't easy, but it was living. Come on, it's not that far." I walk out of the vault and motion to look at the settlement. "Oh god..." The place I'd spent my whole life growing up was on fire, and guys in radiation suits were burning it.

Alfa looked out to the flames "This corse of action was not authorised to any one in vault 099. I was informed to observe and report." He turned to the two from the wasteland outside "we will stop them, we will be your allies." He dashed off down the mountain towards the fire as he drawed out his revolver.

I looked out and noticed it too, gritting my teeth as, I turned off the torch, drew my Colt Python and leapt off the side of the mountain landing just behind where Alfa was, soon catching up with him using my immense speed saying
"Your not alone, let's stop them together"
looking back at Joe whilst, running I called up
"Can you handle that gun or just polish it kid?! Now come on and let's tag team it!"
I then continued to run breaking away and reaching the base of the mountain near our Settlement, diving behind a barrel behind a shop, I took aim at one of the men in a Radiation suit, my sight focusing in on people slowing down everyone else before, shooting at the first man, striking a head shot with the bullet in the back of his brain. Next I moved around once more faster than everyone else, the world moving rather slowly I found a group of five of them, taking aim with speed I fired three bullets; the first going through two of the men radiation suits on the rights heads, the second doing the same on the left and the third in between the centralized man's eyes. Next I found two more speedily firing my last two bullets in my round at them striking both between the eyes.

Following this I took cover signaling the others that I'd cleared a path through the area for them, re-loading my gun. Those first 8 I'd killed were just scraping the surface of the sheer number of them, unfazed at my own speed as, it was normal for me; My eyes had always learnt to slow down the world around them and so, I could focus in on them, it was just one of the perks of being me. I then, prepared to continue, waiting for the others to catch up, knowing no matter how fast I was it would be easier with my allies at my side, helping to take them on.

I stood there in shock for a moment. My home was in flames. Miles snapped me out of it though and I followed him down the mountain. All I'd ever shot at was tin cans and the occasional bottle, never people. It seemed like they'd finished their work and some of them were pulling out of the settlement, not at all caring that a hand full of their men were dead. I stopped at the base of the mountain and pulled out the revolver as I'd done hundreds of times before. Aiming down the barrel I pulled the trigger and felt the kick and saw one of the men drop. I lowered the gun and stood there for a minute. Staggering through the rubble I checked the body, no real identification. Whoever did this didn't want to leave evidence. This one didn't even have a weapon on him. "I...I killed him..." I said, standing back up and looking at Miles. "It's all gone..." Meanwhile, the survivors of whoever did this were already far off enough that pursuing them would be a challenge.

Surprised by how friendly these people had been, Jason decided to help them defend from these invaders. Whoever they were, they couldn't have been from Vault 99 since himself and Alfa were among the very first to leave.
 
Jason took up position beside the others, drawing his 10mm pistol as he did so. Full clip, 2 visible targets = The most action Jason has ever experienced. His targets were in surprise by Miles' speed and gunslinging prowess. He then used his V.A.T.S targeting system that was built into his Pip-boy 3000 to help adjust his aim. 1st bullet fired: Straight through the bridge of his nose. 2nd bullet fired: Hit the other target in the cheek. It was hard to hit him again, what with all his screaming in agony, but Jason managed to finish him off with another bullet. "Hey I ain't so bad with this thing!"

I nodded to them and moved to the edge of the settlement, seeing 6 of our enemies on the horizon, my eyesight locking in on them each like a sniper rife, zooming in. With that I stood sideways aiming at each with my Colt Python, my eyesight locking them in, I raised my gun slightly to follow the distance and trajectory firing 6 shots within 2 seconds each, catapulting through the air before falling slightly at the last minute, hitting each of them in the back of their heads and killing them swiftly. Moving back into the wreckage, I looked to Joe saying
"I got some more, but, a lot of them got away, our homes... are gone what are we to do now?"
taking a seat on the ground, and reloading my gun before holstering it.
