Upward and onward! (Mark)

An average day in Ecruteak City, the Pidgey's were flying over head with soft coos. Just behind the theatre though, a sudden shot of water streamed out and a soaked young boy ran away yelling for his parents. A totodile huffed it's chest out, but only shrinked once he heard the voice of his new trainer.
"A-Abel no!! You can't do things like that it isn't nice!"
Jade fidgeted with her short purple hair as she spoke to her new partner. Abel sighed and tugged at the sky blue bandana around his neck. The item did nothing for him, he simply saw it once Jade brought him home to show her parents and wanted it.
Jade sighed softly and picked him up, holding him with his back to her chest and her arms under his.
"Come on."
She ushered softly and began waking down the street.

A few streets away a Totodile stepped out into the brisk open air it had on a pair of sunglasses and as a few people looked his trainer one Ronan Thomas, stepped out also, speaking with Totodile who heard a few sharp words,
"Ripple you shouldn't come outside on your own you don't know who's out here"
Totodile turning and looking to Ronan who brushed back his hair from his eyes and looked down. Totodile just saw and leapt up and down appearing to do star jumps and his small husk voice replying
"To.. Toto...To....Dile"
Ronan laughed he could never stay worried for long not as long as he had Totodile at his side. Ronan quickly and calmly said
"Ok then just I worry about you so don't go to far cause otherwise we might get lost or... something I dunno"
The duo soon reached a mutual agreement and took off down the road Ronan wearing his side bag filled with everything he could need just in case. Soon Totodile saw another Totodile running over to the trainer holding onto it and once again jumping up and down happily calling out
"To.. Toto.. Totodile"
Ronan looking up and seeing the girl who was clearly the pokemon's trainer seen as she was carrying the Totodile Ronan swiftly said
"Oh hey it appears my Ripple here has seen yours and is trying to make friends isn't that right"
Totodile quickly jumping round and scratching the back of his head. Ronan said to the girl
"Oh yeah sorry the names Ronan"
brushing back his hair once more and holding out his hand politely for a handshake.

As Jade walked, she weaved in and out of other people's way. She wasn't a people person by no means of the phrase, but she hoped that would change with her journey just starting. Abel looked around himself, suddenly spotting another Totodile that was trying to call out to it.
Jade felt a slight panic as the trainer approached, and nearly fell forward when Abel hopped out of her arms and began talking to the other Totodile. Pointing to it's glasses, he probably liked them, then showed off his sky blue bandana.
Jade looked to Ronan shyly, and with a swallow grabbed his fingers and quickly shook them before jerking her hand back.
"I-it's nice ot meet you. I-I guess A-Abel is very friendly..."

"Right shy eh?"
Ronan replied he then inquired
"So what's your name?"
Totodile looking to the sky blue bandana and replying
"To..Totodile..Toto..To.. To..Totodile"
Ronan saying to the girl
"It appears Ripple here likes having Abel about as a friend aswell"
Totodile tapping his sunglasses and nodding.

"Y-yes I am very shy, please forgive me. My name is Jade."
Abel admired his new friends glasses, and at his reflection in the tinted lenses. Jade watched as Abel hoped up and down, talking to his new friend wuiet excitedly. That little Totodile was very friendly, maybe he was what the shy girl needed?

Ronan smiled
"So at least I know your name now"
Totodile happily spinning around, jumping up and down and playing as happy as he could be. Ronan smiled aswel as his pokemon's happiness replying with
"So what are you planning on doing?... Out on your journey like me and Ripple?".

Jade turned to face Ronan with an inqusitive look on her face. Abel was far too busy with Ripple to even take notice of their conversation. With a shy nod, Jade looked at her shoes.
"Yes I am...I-I'm hoping that a pokemon journey will help me over come my shy personality."
She muttered just loud enough for him to hear. Abel then looked over to Jade, and bounding over to her nuzzled against her leg. A delicate smile spread on Jade's face and she bent down to pat her Totodile's head softly.

Ronan smiled,
"Well then wanna come along with me and Ripple on our journey cause a good way to overcome shyness is to travel with others"
Ripple jumped up and down happily shouting,
"To... Toto.... Totodile!"
In agreement with the idea. Ronan then held out his arm to the side Ripple leaping up onto it and walking along his arm to his shoulder where he stood smiling the sun shining off of his sunglasses. Ronan then awaited an answer from hopefully his new found friends.

For a moment Jade didn't know what to say to Ronan's offer to travel together, it seemed a bit out of the blue to be honest. But with Abel looking at her with such pleading eyes, she stood back up and gave a soft smile.
"Alright, that sounds nice. And it would be lovely to have company on usch a very long journey."
At her response, Abel hopped up and down screaming in joy, making the smile on her face get a bit bigger as she looked to her partner.
"And besides, who would I be to take my partner away form his new friends?"
Jade leaned down and scooped Abel into her arms, softly rubbing his spines along his back. The Totodile crooned happily and nuzzled his trainers hand, obviously thankful for letting him stay with his new friend Ripple.

Ronan smiled again
"Then it's settled were off on our journey so I'm ready to leave as soon as you are"
Totodile smiling aswell re-adjusting his sunglasses so they were on properly before cheering again at the response,
"Totodile... To... To... Totodile!"
Ronan laughed stroking Totodile on the head waiting for the all clear from Jade.

Abel hung onto Jade's shoulder as she nodded.
"Then let's go."
She said softly, walking toward the other side of town. This journey would be a lot more fun then she imagined with Ronan now here to keep her and Abel company. Her Totodile looked around him at his surroundings with curiosity, facinated by all the things he saw.

Ronan nodded back to her his normal friendly smile still on his face as always walking alongside her towards route 37
"Here we go then"
They moved through the gate emerging onto route 37 where they moved along towards the left for Violet City. It was at that moment a pair of Growlithe (Male - lvl's 6) Appeared growling at the duo appearing as though they were looking for a fight.

Jade followed silently as they passed along the route, taking note of the peaceful surroundings. Her head was oulled from the clouds when she heard rustling in the thicket, and she shreiked when she saw two Growlithe emrge, growling at them with glares on their faces.
"Oh!"
She flinched, only to feel a sharp tug on her hair. Abel was screeching at her, as if to say 'Hello I'm still here! And I have a type advantage!!' Jade nodded and abel hopped in front of the growlithe, glaring at them with the same intensity.
"Uh, oh yeah ok! Abel, use Water Gun!"
Jade stammered, and Abel shot a torrent of water toward the Growlithe on the right.

The Growlithe was struck by the Water Gun and fell back a couple of meters. The Growlithe then stood back up breathing heavily and looked at Abel rushing at him whilst using Bite.

Meanwhile Ronan had set his sights on the Growlithe on the left looking to Ripple and nodding as Ripple jumped down from Ronan's shoulder and stood ready for an attack calling out
"Totodile! To... To!"
As a battle cry Ronan then noticing the confidence of his pokemon called out
"Now Ripple, Water Gun!"
Ripple opening his mouth and sending a torrent of water towards it. Ronan smiled and said quietly to himself,
"Come on Ripple Let's take this opportunity"
Meaning he was wanting to catch the pokemon who had leapt out at the group.

(Well Tell your what Alice you mod for me and I'll mod for you and as soon as Lucretia returns i'll ask her to restore you mod status or something, Cause I don't even know why it was removed that way our journey will be much easier to complete without all of the waiting around for a mod to post)

(Ok sounds fine to me)
The other Growlithe took the Water Gun, and skid back beside his friend. They paused, and making sure the other was still ok to fight rushed toward their respective opponents. Abel cried to Jade, and even though she couldn't understand him, she had a pretty good idea that he was trying to tell her to catch it now.
"Oh! Uh, um, ok!"
The shy young woman stammered and her hand thrust intself into her bag to fish around for a pokeball. Growlithe came closer, and just as it leapt for a Bite Jade finally found a pokeball and tossed it.
"Y-you're mine!!"

The Growlithe had no time to react connecting with the pokeball and being sucked inside. The pokeball then fell to the ground and wobbled once, twice, three times as the flashing stopped a `ding` being heard to signal the capture.

Ronan smiled taking an empty pokeball from his waist and enlarging it calling "Now Totodile Water Gun" watching the attack and throwing the pokeball immediately after in an attempt to catch it whilst it was down.

(It would kinda help to know it's gender first XD)
As Jade watched the pokeball shake, she began to wonder what it would be like raising the Growlithe, and one day having a powerful Arcanine. Then as the ball clicked, she smiled with all the confidence she oculd muster. Abel hobbled over and picked up the pokeball, walking back over and putting it in his trainers hand.

Jade then looked over to Ronan, who was in the process of trying to catch the other Growlithe. It took the second Water Gun, now barely consious and then the pokeball made contact with it's head. It fell to the ground, shaking once, twice, three times...'CLICK!'

(Male like I said when they first appeared lol and don't worry I'll add on mine aswell)
Ronan looked to Jade and smiled saying
"So it appears we both got new friends eh?"
Ripple jumped up and down calling his happy
"To... Toto.... Totodile!"
Ronan then picked up the pokeball and called
"Come on out Pyro"
Pyro, Ronan's new Growlithe appearing from his pokeball. Ronan smiled saying
"Welcome to the team buddy"
he then looked to Jade and asked
"So what you gonna call your Growlithe?"
Awaiting an answer.

Jade released her Growlithe, who looked around at his new team mates. His new trainer seemed shy but willing to try her best, and as the Totodile appologized for the water gun before, he nodded and sat by Jade's feet. With a soft grin she crouched down to stroke his fur softly as he barked. Ronan brought up what she would call him, and she thought about it for a long moment before she got an idea.
"I like the name Cedric, what do you think?"
She asked turning to her new Growlithe. In response he barked happily, licking her hand and making her laugh.
"Then you're Cedric from now on!"

"Cool nice to meet you Cedric"
Ronan replied. Pyro then moved over to his side Ronan stroking him before regaining his upright stance.
"So I guess we should really continue on to Violet City like we'd originally planned right?"
He asked, Ripple agreeing with his usual friendly
"Totodile!"
before jumping back up onto Ronan's right shoulder. Growlithe meanwhile walked alongside Ronan outside of his pokeball whilst they walked down the path towards Violet City and the first Gym.

Jade nodded and followed Ronan, Cedric trotting along and conversing with Abel. The two seemed to be very talkative to one another. Perhaps they'd get along well on this journey. That would be good, having two pokemon who hated each other on one team would not be a very good thing. Cedric seemed happy, maybe he could sense the kindness of Jade, and the strength of Abel. He seemed hostile before, but now he was docile. He'd make a good team mate.

Ronan continued down the path towards Violet City the sun going down and lights of the city becoming visible he called
"See that the city's just down there"
Pyro barked
"Gro...Growlithe"
Ripple agreed
"Toto..Totodile"
Ronan however just laughed and continued to walk down the hill towards Violet City. When they got to the gate though they noticed something guarding the gate, a Pair of Dratini (Male - Lvl 7). Ronan looked and noticed that they were guarding something but couldn't see what. Ripple Meanwhile jabbed Ronan in the head Ronan telling him
"Actually Ripple let's give Pyro a shot at this one"
Pyro barking again
"Growlithe... Growl"
Pyro then stepped forwards as one of the Dratini launched a Thunder Wave attack at him and the other a Wrap attack for __________
(Depending on which pokemon you pick to battle him)
Ronan called out
"Dodge It Pyro!"
Pyro leaping aside
"Now"
Pyro called
"Ember!"
Pyro racing forwards and sending forth the small bolts of fire at the Dratini on the left.

As they continued Jade could just see the lights of Violet City flickering to life. What a beautiful veiw! With lanterns on the sides of the road lighting their way it was easy to see even with the sun going down. As they approached the gate, Jade was surprised to see Dratini gaurding the gate. As one of them leapt toward her preparing to use Wrap, Cedric leapt out in fornt of her, the small dragon type wrapping around him.
Cedric yowled in pain, but tried to keep his focus as Jade called out a command.
"Cedric use Ember as well!"
Cedric's mouth glowed and turning his head he shot feirce embers toward the Dratini's face. It wouldn't give in that easily though, as it cronstricted tighter around Cedric. Only now did Jade see the scar over its right eye. It must have been in a terrible fight, while the other was the usual color for a Dratini, the other was solid white. It was half blind.

As the Ember struck the Dratini Ronan called
"Now Bite"
Pyro moving to the Dratini and attempting to chomp down on it, Ronan taking an empty pokeball from his belt ready hopefully for the capture. Ronan then watched saying quietly to himself
"That's it, come on Pyro"
confident in Pyro's abilities.

The Dratini's thin body tried to worm it's way away from Pyro, but the little fire type was really fast. It's fangs clamped onto the Dratini,and it screeched as Pryo let go. Cedric used Ember once again, the other Dratini letting go of him and lying on the ground. Jade felt a pang of guilt as the pokeball tapped the Dratini's head and absorbed it in a red light.
