She is kind and quiet, but has evil tendencies now and then. She's only human, after all. She is intelligent, but not greatly so to the point of a genius. Higher than average would be most accurate. She has an artistic and creative streak, but unfortunately often lacks motivation. Truth be told, she's not really the most proactive person in the world.
Though she often lacks motivation, when it comes to something that she pours her heart into she does it fully. She dedicates herself with a passionate determination to achieve her goals. Her strong conviction to such things can either inspire people, or put them off depending on their own goals. However, these are exactly what makes her a reliable person, with unmatched patience.
Though it is high, everyone has a limit. Makoto will push herself past the limit before breaking, which only makes her wrath that much greater. Remember evil tendencies? That was nothing compared to what she might do if you do manage to cross her.
All in all, she has a very magnetic personality that seems to draw people to her presence. Her friendly attitude, and attempts to remain an unbiased opinion make her very loyal, and a great leader. Within her burns a fiery passion that she hides behind her quiet and modest demeanor.
History: Makoto is the youngest of three, having an older brother and sister before her. Her father wasn't much in her life, and due to age differences neither was her brother. Still, she grew up with strong family, who showed her that codependence is not a necessity. Everyone can make it without a significant other if they try hard enough, and have their true family by their sides. Looking back at all the tragedies and sour moments in her life, this is what truly stands out to Makoto. Her mother, raising three children practically on her own. Makoto, spending so much time with her elder sister that she is now closely bonded rather than the lack of communication that happens between most families.
As far as tragedies go, it seemed this family was not lacking in them. Between dramatic revelations, and emotional distress to deaths of animals and worse yet family members. The events never seemed to halt for long before another struck. One might think such things would harden a person, and in a way they're right. Makoto put up a barrier to protect her emotions from being hurt after a time, but never stopped being empathetic to the feelings of others. Unfortunately, this made her quite the doormat for others. She has only recently learned to say no, and stick with her convictions without giving into the pleas of those around her.
When she was 16, Makoto was visiting her Sister's house for the holidays. Her mother hadn't allowed her any pets since they had moved into the new house in Olivine, so Makoto had been feeling rather lonely. Her sister was sneaky though, and knew that they're mother couldn't say no once it was already 'part of the family' so to speak. So, she talked to a friend of hers who owned a Pokemon Ranch. They had had a recent 'litter' and offered to give away the runt for free. Makoto's sister agreed without hesitation, tying a bow around the small green Pokemon's neck for Christmas morning.
The two have been practically inseperable since. Makoto named her new partner Roxas, and was more than pleased with her new Larvitar- even if he was the runt. She raised him with care, loving him with all her heart. So much so, that Larvitar seemed almost infatuated by his trainer, becoming jealous if she should become close to others (especially hugs). As such, he is often aggressive to those who get too close to Makoto which only makes it hard for Makoto. Still, she loves her Pokemon and would choose him over a boy any day -and has in the past when the ultimatum came up. She'd broken hearts that way, choosing her aggressive Pokemon without hesitation over their 'undying love' that quickly faded mere days after the break-up. To say the least - Makoto believes she chose correctly.
