The Fight To The Finish: 7 Gym Badges Down, 1 Gym Badge To Go

Oliver reappeared in Opelucid City, his Alakazam at his side as he headed for the Gym. Soon though they managed to get there looking around within the gym he called out "Drayden, It Is You Right?" he then called out "I'm here to challenge you to a battle" his Alakazam retaining his calm stance levitating in mid air cross-legged and meditating ready for the battle. Oliver then put his Camera back on and got himself onto the challengers position awaiting Drayden's arrival.

(Yeah by saying Drayden, I mean he's my choice out of Iris and Drayden to challenge ok)

Drayden stepped out onto to battlefield. "Welcome to the final gym in the Unova League challenge. You'd have to be very strong to make it this far, so I won't underestimate you." He selected a Pokeball from his belt and threw it into the air, releasing a Flygon from within.

Seeing his opponent as a Psychic type, Flygon prepared a Crunch attack, diving at the opponent with a controlled grace showing that he could dodge at any moment. This would be the toughest battle Oliver has ever faced, save for the battles that are to come if he receives his final badge.

Oliver smiled and clicked his fingers Alakazam immediately teleporting and avoiding the Bite attack before using teleport once more getting right up close to Flygon and using Ice Punch his fist glowing white as it flew at Flygon to finish it in one move with the Critically Powerful move.

Flygon did a flip in midair, flying directly above Alakazam's icy fist. Turning while above his head, he launched another very close distant Crunch. It would be near impossible to dodge, due to proximity and speed.

Just as Alakazam was clamped down on, he teleported thereby only being damaged a little using, Psychic, the oh-so familiar light blue line surrounding Flygon as, Alakazam slammed Flygon into one wall, then another, then another, then another, and then the ceiling before slamming him into the ground full thrust aiming to finish Flygon off there, a Crater being left where Flygon was. Oliver then smiled awaiting the result of the move.

(You choose if it survives as always, plus for the record he slammed him into all four walls, then the ceiling then the floor ok)

The tactic Oliver used wasn't one Flygon had ever had to fight against, but since the walls of the gym were made of stone, and probably would be ruined anyway, he knew his best chance of survival. Right before he'd hit a wall, it would be hit by a mighty Earth Power, turning the spot he hit into soft sand instead of a rock hard wall. He did this several times until he was released of the Psychic grip. He still had taken damage, just not nearly as much as Oliver had hoped.

Launching into the air with a screech, Flygon began using rapid Earth Powers right from under Alakazam, no matter where his opponent stood. Drayden watched curiously, wondering how Oliver would deal with this.

Alakazam however was unaffected as he wasn't on the floor remaining cross-legged and levitating above the floor. Next Oliver called out "Psychic now" Alakazam knowing what to do as he used Psychic on Flygon again trapping it in the blue line and the Psychic grip. With this he launched Flygon at the now softened floor spinning it to try and make it dizzy and drill into the sand so, that it would become buried underneath the sand, hopefully fainting under the pressure.

Oliver watched Alakazam's tactics and smiled saying to himself "Interest, I guess I trained him well" Alakazam keeping up with the attack Flygon remaining in his grip until Oliver was satisfied that it had fainted.

(Bah, sorry for the wait, I'll try not to let that happen again.)

Flygon, being used to even the stormiest and sandiest conditions, didn't seem to fare well being crushed by sand. He eventually stopped struggling against the Psychic and went limp, fainted. Drayden returned him with a sigh, and released his second choice, Druddigon.

Alakazam gained 46 exp!

Druddigon let out a roar of challenge, and took flight into the air. He suddenly and quickly dove at Alakazam, his sharp teeth pulsing with dark power as he tried to land a Crunch attack.

Oliver was amazed by the flying Druddigon as they were usually unable to fly however, what more should he have expected from a Gym Leader. Alakazam however required no command at that moment in time immediately knowing what to do as he teleported with speed around Druddigon, teleporting multiple times varying in location before finally swinging at Druddigon with an uppercut to the chin using Ice Punch his fist dropping in temperature and glistening a bright white, ice forming on it.

((Bump))

Druddigon was hit, and sent barreling into the ground. Shakily getting up, he launched into the air once more, this time keeping a safe distance from Alakazam and waiting him out.

This time Alakazam, eyes still closed smiled, Oliver nodding and Alakazam sensing it as he used Psychic on Druddigon dragging him in closer before drawing back his fist holding Druddigon in place and using three Ice Punches one to Druddigon's chest, one to it's head and one to it's chin with an uppercut. Alakazam then satisfied with the damage done used the Psychic to slam Druddigon first into one wall then another then the ceiling and then floor, leaving him in a newly made crater on the floor.

(You know the drill, you decide if Druddigon survives or faints)

Druddigon, after that serious beating, got shakily to his feet. A pure rage lit his entire expression, and launched himself in a mad fury at Alakazam. Lashing out when he got close enough, he performed several Revenges in quick succession, though without much aim, then gaped his jaws wide in an attempt at Crunch. For good measure, he also swung his tail, trying to use Dragon Tail. Before he could see if any of these attacks had actually hit, he dashed away from Alakazam's close quarters, and surveyed the damage.

Among the dust brought up by the attacks, Alakazam had teleported to avoid the attacks sitting on the head of a dragon statue behind Druddigon watching him back up, unaware Alakazam was there, he then teleported once more behind Druddigon charging up an Ice Punch before teleporting again and delivering the Ice Punch in the form of an uppercut to Druddigon's chin hoping to take Druddigon down there and then.

Druddigon reared back and cried out as Alakazam's cold and icy fist slammed into him. He slumped to the ground without moving, fainted. Without a word, he returned his loyal dragon and took out his final Pokeball. In a burst of bright white light, his final and most powerful Pokemon burst from it, Haxorus.

Immediately, Haxorus's claws started to glow with a strange and ancient power. He ran at Alakazam with speed and power and swiped his claws at his foe, a dangerous Dragon Claw attack.

Oliver took note of this beckoning to Alakazam
"Teleport and use an Ice Punch!"
his mini-cam getting the battle all recorded as, Alakazam disappearing and reappearing three times the final time being in mid-air behind Haxorus delivering a swift and glancing Icy blow towards the back of Haxorus' head, in his Cerebral Cortex to be precise.

Alakazam's punch would have made contact if it weren't for Haxorus's quick thinking. As his foe's fist swung toward his head, he turned it at an angle so that it would instead collide with the sharp blade protruding by his mouth. It was a makeshift Slash, using his blade on his head instead of his claws.

Alakazam managed to adjust the trajectory of the move just enough to collide with the top of his blade rather than the blade itself continuing, the Ice Punch attack full thrust.
