First Gym Battle.

Once again it was a lovely day at Petalburg City. There were few big, white clouds floating in the sky barely moving. The sun had just reached it's midpoint, and one could hear bird pokemon singing outside the town. It was a perfect day for Damon to challenge the Petalburg City's Gym leader Norman. The boy had worked extra hard for past days, preparing for the battle. He knew it was going to be hard but there was simply no way he was going to give up without putting out a show.

With a slight grin he walked towards the gym. For this occasion he was wearing violet dress shirt with red tie, black jacket, black trousers, and black shoes. On his belt 6 small pokeball were attached, with a small bag next to them. Three of the pokeball contained his pokemon which he was going to use to battle Norman. The boy was prepared for a fight. Without a slight hesitation he bashed into the gym and with extra loud voice shouted out for the gym leader, "Petalburg City's Gym leader Norman! I am here to challenge you to a pokemon battle."

"So you are," Norman said, stepping out onto the gym floor, and sizing up Damon. His hand instinctively went to the three Pokeballs on his belt, and his hand lightly touched each of them. He seemed to choose one, then threw it into the air, and out burst a lazy looking Slaking. "As the challenger, you get the first move," Norman said, waiting to see what the young trainer will do to defeat him.

]"Hmm . . ." Damon said. He had thought that Norman would use his Vigaroth first, in which case he would have used Ralts. "I am Damon. Damon Spade. Pleasure to meet you," introduced the boy himself with a little bit mischevous smile. His hand picked up the middle pokeball out of the three on his belt and threw it gently in the air several times. "Let's have a nice battle now shall we?" said the boy with still his slight smirk on his face. He threw the pokeball out on the field which released a Seedot who seemed to be ready for some action. "Alrighty then. Seedot, use Nature Power!" commanded the boy to which Seedot jumped into the air and then landed, causing an Earthquak. Since their battlefield was made out of sand it had used Earthquak.

"Hm," Norman said, or rather grunted as he watched the attack bombard his Slacking, causing the hefty Pokemon a great deal of damage. Slacking let out a roar, then, surprising for a lazy Pokemon, lashed out toward Seedot. The Pokemon seemed to change his mind at the last minute though, because before he could attack the small enemy, he lied back down, and let out a hefty yawn. Norman looked over at the Seedot to see if he had caught the tiring yawn.

Damon had been so surprised by the earthquake that he didn't even notice the bubble flying towards Seedot. After all he had never seen a pokemon use such a move and thus it was a new experience for him. 'It will probably attack soon,' thought Damon as he looked at the Slaking. "Seedot, use Bide!" commanded Damon imminently after his brief second of thought. Seedot the it's body around once to show his trainer that he had received the command but he seemed to take his time. After all since the lazy bum was sleeping like that there was no rush. After a brief delay his body did start glowing white though. Seedot had used bide.

Slaking looked at Seedot rather boredly, and when the Pokemon sat there doing nothing, the idea became perfect for Slaking to do so as well. Slaking is slacking around.
