Hoping for another awesome victory!

Twilight roamed the small town of Cerulean. Nothing much worth paying attention. She decided to head towards the gym. She knocked on the door. No response. A second knock. Still no response. She entered quietly, the rusty hinges creaking. he was met with a blast of moisture. A young girl was swimming as sleek as a Gorebyss with her Staryu and Starmie. Aquarius also jumped in. The sudden disturbance caused Misty to look around.

"Uh...I..wish to challenge you...?" Totally weirded out by the girl's way of killing time, Twilight was in much reluctance. Clutching Thunder's pokeball, she looked across the pool, awaiting her opponent's response.

"Accepted." Misty jumps out of the water and called Staryu.

Tossing Thunder's pokeball, he appeared, and not quite accustomed to following orders, danced a little jig around the pool and nearly fell in. He grabbed a rail with his tail and pulled himself upright, sparks dancing around his cheeks, getting ready for a Thundershock.

Staryu started out with tackle.

On contact, Thunder released a massive Thunder Shock. It dipped its tail in water and released electricity. Now Staryu couldn't jump back into the electrocuted water.

Staryu was seriously hurt but tried to use one last Rapid Spin.

Thunder was struck face on and got flung back, slamming into the wall. He got up and shook himself, badly frightened and hurt. He bounded back and used Volt Tackle, skimming the surface of the electrocuted water, adding more power in his Volt Tackle.

Staryu got a full hit and got launched away. Staryu Fainted.

"Yes! Well done Thunder!" Twilight cried as the electric mouse jumped up to her shoulder. "Now Akina, think you can manage the Starmie? I'll send Felicity to help." With a confident nod and a gleam in her eyes, the small brown fox jumped down, awaiting the foe Starmie.

Starmie started out with a Rapid Spin.

Akina nimbly jumped aside and started off with defence. She used Toxic in the water, causing it to become purple and murkish. Now Starmie couldn't access the water. If it did, it would becoe badly poisoned.

Then Eevee dashed in with Tackle.

Starmie tried to counter with Rapid spin.

Akina was struck face on but merely growled. It used Toxic while Starmie was still at close quarters with Rapid Spin. There would be no escape. She used Tail Whip then dashed in for another Tackle before Starmie could recover fro the hits.

(Did Starmie go in the water? If it did, it would be poisoned now)

Starmie got hit by Toxic but Tail Whip didn't work. When she got hit by the tackle she got send against a wall, he fell right next to the water and used Recover.

(Does Recover also remove status problems?)

"Nooo! Akina! Don't let it Recover!" Twilight yelled. With a curt nod, Akina slammed her small body once more against the Starmie in an attempt to startle it long enough for it to stop using Recover.

It was too late, Starmie was allmost back to full health and used Rapid Spin, slightly being hurt by poison.

(Okay but I do hope you know that the damage from Toxic will gradually increase...)

Akina sidestepped, bounced off the wall and placed a small paw on Starmie, powering herself upward. She shook her tail furiously, using an undeniably powerful Tail Whip. She came in contact with the ceiling and placing her hind legs on the ceiling, powered herself down really strongly, coming in with a Tackle, fangs bared.

Starmie build up lots of power then unleashed a VERY power full Rapid spin And jumpedright at the Tackling Eevee.

Akina and Starmie clashed and Akina veered away. She slammed into the ground, causing the surroundings to crack. She stamped hard so that the broken tiles came up in the air and Tackled them, sending them at the Starmie, creating a sorts of Rock Throw. Twilight fingered Felicity's pokeball.

Starmie used Rapid Spin and send them right back.

Akina nimbly dodged until a particularly large rock slammed right in front of her nose. It ade her nervous, leaving herself vulnerable to the remaining rocks. One hit her really hard and she let out a loud yowl. Twilight panicked and sent out Felicity but Akina growled so fiercely, Felicity was sent back with sheer fear.

Akina used Tail Whip 3 times in quick succession and used Tackle, skimming across the water with high speeds.

Being so furious, the tail whips didn't work. Starmie used a Rapid Spin. This attack would decide who would win and who would lose.

Akina bristled with pure anger and dodged as Starmie spun by. Behind was a wall into which Starmie would crash. Even if it didn't knock it out, Akina readied herself for a Tackle.

Something weird happened: Starmie rolled up the wall as a wheel, then over the sealing. Starmie fell down in his Rapid Spin while using Recover.

This was what Twilight feared. Akina leaped off the platform and Tackled Starmie in mid-air with perfect precision. Also, the angle was such that Starmie would land straight in the poisoned water.
