Sato; Chapter One: The Tale Begins (Open)

The day was early and the sun was shining bright like any other day, after all Lentimas town was high into the sky and made of Volcanic ashes and left overs. Ace was lying in bed like any other day all though this day was not the same. Today was the day that Ace was meant to start his adventure but he didn't know. Sato heard a loud thumph on his wooden floor.

Ace: "Huh? What in the heck was that?"

Ace said as he got up from his bed and looked to where the thumph had come from. As he turned his head to the direction Ace had got a massive strike from Shadows tail to the face.

Ace: "What the hell was that for!"

Ace yelled at Shadow as he lifted himself back off his bed and dusting his face. Shadow just stood their and smiled jumpping off the bed and walking down stairs. Ace had finally got up and changed and walked down stairs where his mother was watching t.v.

Mum: "Hello son, you better get going its already 10"

Ace: "10!!"

Ace said as he boosted out the door and into town.

Ace: "Come on Shadow"

Ace yelled as Shadow was running right behind Ace. Ace had made it to route 169 (Just made it up) and stood infront of piles and piles of grass.

Ace: "Ready Shadow?"

Ace said as Shadow nodded his head walking into the grass alongside Ace.

A wild Growlithe, male, level 10 appeared! He stood firmly and growled at Ace.

As Ace and Shadow were walking through the grass they were stopped by a Growlithe as Ace pulled out his pokedex and got the information about a Growlithe.

Ace: "Woah! this aint good, He is a fire type and shadow is a grass type. hmm but i know what i can do."

Ace said as Shadow jumpped infront of ace.

Ace: "Shadow quick run into the grass"

As Shadow listened and ran into the grass dissapearing from sight.

Ace: "Now Shadow tackle then return back into the grass and remain hidden"

Ace said as Shadow flew out from behind the Growlithe aiming to tackle him.

Growlithe saw it and jumped aside. It singed every part of grass with Ember so that Snivy stood out clearly, green and black. The small Growlithe smirked and unleashed a flurry of Embers on the grass type.

Shadow missed the tackle and jumpped back into the grass. As Growlithe started to burn the grass Ace had to think of something else to work. Now that all the grass had been burnt Shadow had no way to hide so he had to take it one on one. Shadow smirked as he had seen the growlithe smirk.

Ace: "Wait for it."

Ace said as he predicted that the growlithe would come in with ember once again.

Ace: "Now"

Ace said as Shadow jumpped up into the sky dodging the fire balls then sending a vine whip just behind growlithe. As Shadow shoot towards Growlithe from the force caused by the Vine whip. Shadow was going in for a big tackle once again.

Growlithe was hit and it yelped. It snarled and used Roar, enabling it flee. It turned tail and tried to escape.

Ace had seen Growlithe try to escape as Ace nodded his head.

Ace: "Quick Shadow dont let him escape! use wrap so he can keep still while i throw a pokeball."

Ace yelled as Shadow attempted to wrap Growlithe with vines as Ace threw a pokeball at Growlithe with the attempt to catch it.

The pokeball wiggled a bit before it burst open, Growlithe bristling with blood-curdling growls. It gave an angry bark and then unleashed another Ember.

(Just wanted to know if Wrap hit?)

Ace had seen the pokemon breakfree as he had watched growlithe send more ember towards Shadow."Quick Shadow dodge it" Ace said as Shadow attempted to dodge it but some of the flames hit Shadows tail."Quickly smash your tail onto the ground to put the fire out." Ace yelled as Shadow did as he was told. "hm now he should be in his Overgrow ability" Ace said to himself watching as Shadow's eyes steamed of angerness.

*Overgrow ability activated*

"Now Snivy jump into the air and use vine whip to hold growlithe down and hurt him as i throw another pokeball." Ace said as Snivy jumpped into the air sending vines at growlithe while Ace threw a pokeball at Growlithe.

(Yes. Clearly that is why Growlithe could not run away again.)

The pokeball shook thrice before it clicked satisfyingly. Congratulations! You caught a Growlithe! Do you want to nickname it?

"Hm i think il call you Blaze." Ace said smiling at the pokemon that contained Growlithe. "Nice one shadow, now lets get on our way shall we?." Ace said to Shadow as Shadow jumpped onto Aces shoulders as they walked off into the wild again.
