Laryn returns home...

Since being kicked out her her parent's house Laryn took the rude goodbye as an opportunity. She had the opportunity to travel. While traveling she realized how fascinating Pokemon are, and a friend of her's gave her Squirtle, her very first Pokemon. She nicknamed him Skort because she always has had trouble pronouncing the "squi" sound. Laryn and Skort just returned back to Laryn's hometown, Vermilion City.

When they got into town, everything looked familiar to Laryn. "Well Skort, I guess some things don't change after all." Skort nods. Laryn did notice that there are a lot more trainers now than when she left home. "Now that we are back though, we need to get serious with training. Also, I want to find you a Pokemon friend." Skort gets excited. "Tomorrow morning we will head for the docks and see if we can't spot a Tentacool or Staryu! Get a good night sleep Skort!" Skort nods.
