Journey to the second gym - Eterna!

After Zane got his new badge, and went to heal his pokemon, he went into the Route to Eterna city, where the second gym battle against a Grass-type gym leader awaits. Zane was just at the end of Oreburgh, and then he released Chimchar from his pokeball, and climbed on his usual spot - on Zane's shoulder. They now left the city and went into some tall grass.

When they left Oreburgh a Diglett (Male - lvl 10) appeared looking to them it's eyebrow's arched before attempting to use a Scratch attack tunneling underground until he reached them and appearing trying to Scratch Chimchar.

Zane wasn't worried at all,since Diglett had no way reaching Chimchar. "You want a battle, huh? Alright, let's go Chimchar! Use Leer!" Chimchar jumped from Zane's shoulder right infront of the wild Diglet, and started staring him.

Diglett raised an eyebrow as Chimchar used Leer showing that the stare down wasn't working before disappearing underground only to reappear seconds later a terrifying face being shown in mid air as Astonish was used.

Chimchar was so scared he flew back a few meters, but quickly stood up. "Okay, use Flame Charge!" his trainer yelled. Just as Chimchar was going to start the move, he flinched and didn't do anything!

Diglett laughed menacingly before disappearing again, reappearing by Chimchar and using Scratch to attack it. Diglett's ability to dig was now proving to be a challenge for Zane and Chimchar but one that their going to have to face.

"Quickly, use Ember!" As Chimchar saw the Diglett coming to get him with Scratch, Zane yelled, and he listened to him. He readied to open his mouth pointing to Diglett and after that he used Ember.

Diglett was hit by the Ember and was injured but dug down into the coldest layers of earth and cooled the heat before tunneling back up with speed and attempting to strike it with a powerful Scratch Attack.

"Block it!" Zane shouted as he saw the Diglett coming up from the ground. Chimchar raised his hands, blocking the Scratch, taking less damage than normal. "Now, use Ember, once more!" After Diglett's attack, Chimchar quickly used his Ember, while Diglett was close by..

However unfortunately whilst he had his hands up to block the attack Diglett had disappeared underground before reappearing quickly and using another Astonish which caused another large terrifying face to appear different from the last so that it would still surprise Chimchar.

"Ah! A miss!" Zane said to himself, and right after that Diglett used Astonish. "Chimchar, counter with Flame Charge!" Chimchar started stomping the ground with eyes closed, creating a dust cloud, which unnaffected Astonish. Right after that, Chimchar charged at Diglett at full speed with flames all over him.

PS. I hope I'm not too overpowered :/ xD

Diglett however used the dust cloud as a smokescreen disappearing once more underground and reappearing beneath Chimchar using Scratch on it.

PS. The dust cloud was meant to be small enough to hide Chimchar, but whatever.

"Chimchar, quick, counter with your own Scratch!" Chimchar quickly stopped himself from the Flame Charge, and waited to see where Diglett would come out. After moments the ground beneath him broke into pieces and Diglett was just about to use Scratch, when Chimchar heard his trainer's command. He immediatly used Scratch, even though getting hit by the opponent one.

Diglett however dug back underground immediately (XD) tunneling through the ground until he reached underneath Chimchar's new location burrowing up and using Scratch from under Chimchar.

'Argh, you're getting on my nerves! Snortus, come out and help him!" Zane threw another pokeball and he released Snortus. "Use Water Gun right after he comes up!" A few moments later Diglett burrowed right beneath Chimchar. "Chimchar, jump, and Snortus, now!" Zane shouted. Chimchar immediatly tried to jump, and Snortus used his move, right when his trainer told him to.

Diglett was hit by the move and was now close to fainting but as that happened a second hole appeared in the ground as Chimchar wasn't the only one with back up now a Dugtrio there to distract them. Diglett meanwhile disappeared down the hole and didn't resurface leaving the Dugtrio (Female - lvl 28). This Dugtrio was now the obvious mother of the Diglett angry that her child was attacked, she moved in using Uproar (Egg Move) causing blue sound-waves to appear to hit both Snortus and Chimchar.

"Oh god! Quick, dodge it! Mysteon, go help them out!" Chimchar managed to dodge it, but Snortus got caught in tit. "Chimchar, use Ember at Diglett, Snortus use Absorb on Dugtrio and Mysteon, you use Energy Ball at Dugtrio!" Chimchar fired a couple of small fireballs at Diglett, his pal Snortus fired a red beam at Dugtrio with the intention of hitting him, and heal a bit, and Mysteon formed a green ball and fired it at Dugtrio.

PS. I hope this is acceptable, since at a previous pokemon forum I've used more than one move in a post, so tell me if I have to edit it out :/

However Chimchar's Ember missed as Diglett had left the battle and the Absorb, Energy Ball combo missed aswell Dugtrio tunneling underground before reappearing behind everyone and using Tri Attack each of the Dugtrio head's charging the energy before forming the Triangle sending forth the large Triangle at all the pokemon.

"Oh no! Mysteon - ExtremeSpeed and dodge the attack, Chimchar - Flame Charge, and Snortus use Headbutt at the last head!" Zane at that point was pretty nervous about his pokemon, that was one pretty strong mother! Mysteon with ease dodged one of the heads, Snortus turned around and used Headbutt, but Chimchar stood there, and eventually got hit by the third head. Zane was really suprised, because Chimchar didn't listen to him. The pokemon was standing on the ground, and suddenly he got up, his whole body was surrounded by flames, his backside fire grew larger. That for sure was Chimchar's abillity - Blaze.

Dugtrio's eyes seemed to narrow as the Mysteon dodged it's attack. She took the Headbutt full on because she was distracted by the Mysteon and what the Chimchar was doing. It hadn't even dodged, and that made her curious. Before anything else could happen, the female Dugtrio sunk into the ground and Bulldoze(d) her way to the Chimchar.

"Chimchar, turn around, jump and use Ember as quick as you can!" The reason was, because of the Bulldoze, the only way of dodging it, would be to jump. Chimchar turned around, and jumped, just when Dugtrio used the move. After that, in mid-air the monkey pokemon fired small fire balls at his opponent.

Dugtrio yelled profusely, almost as if cursing over and over, as her attack missed. She was certainly not used to that attack missing. Just as the Ember hit the momma Dugtrio, she burrowed deep within the ground and waited for just a second so that she could recover from being hit, if only slightly. Then, from beneath the earth, she let loose a Sand Tomb upon every pokemon in the area.

Out from nowhere, Chimchar fell into a hole Dugtrio made, and was hit pretty badly. Zane had no idea what happened down in the hole, Chimchar was basically trapped by the momma Dugtrio, and had no way of getting out of the pit.

Momma Dugtrio had risen just in time to see Chimchar fall in. She seemed to laugh at her enemy. She looked over at the other two pokemon with a seeming "who's next" look on all three of her faces. She performed another Sand Tomb, this time aiming it at the other two pokemon. She knew that Chimchar would be stuck in the hole for a while, and any squirming on his part would only hurt him.

"Mysteon, dodge with ExtremeSpeed and you, Snortus, try to dodge it." Zane yelled just when Dugtrio finished the Sand Tomb. Mysteon dodged without problem, but Snortus was too slow and was caught in the Tomb too.. The only left pokemon on the field was Mysteon, and of course the momma Dugtrio. " *sigh* Use Energy Ball on Dugtrio..." the boy yelled, without much confidence, when Mysteon formed a greenish ball and threw it right at Dugtrio.
