Onward to Pewter City [OPEN]

Raymond was on the route to Pewter city with his pokemon. Raymond heard that the Gym Leader of Pewter City uses Rock types so Raymond was looking for a way to train his pokemon he has currently. Or A water/grass type he can catch to help him defeat the Gym leader.

Raymond was gonna get his wish to train. A trainer approached him and the reporter, and said, "Hello there. Are you a trainer?" He looked at the pokeballs on Raymond, then smiled slightly. "Judging from the pokeballs, you are. Would you like a battle?"

Raymond look over at the trainer and nodded his head. This will be Raymond's first trainer battle so he was a bit excited. Raymond waited for his opponent to pull out their pokemon so Raymond could decide which pokemon to send out first.

Trainer Pokemon:

"Alright then," the trainer said, throwing a pokeball into the air. "Come on out smoochum," the trainer said, and the pokeball released a smoochum onto the ground.

Raymond threw out his Bagon. "Baku Stand" Raymond said. After Baku came out Raymond used his pokedex on smoochum. Raymond learned that smoochum was an Ice type which Bagon was weak to. So Raymond decided to take the first move and said
"Baku use flamethrower"
A blast of flames left Baku's mouth and headed for the smoochum.

The trainer didn't forsee Raymond attacking first, so he immediately told his smoochum to dodge. The pokemon easilly did as told, not being weak or cornered, so it jumped to the side and dodged the incoming flamethrower. "Smoochum, use powder snow," the trainer called, watching as the pokemon began to use powder snow against the opposing pokemon.

Raymond expected an Ice attack from smoochum. So Raymond told Baku to dodge the attack. So Baku side dodged the powder snow attack and used another flamethrower without Raymond's command. Raymond watch the flame blast flew at smoochum while he contemplated switching Baku out.

The smoochum looked at the incoming attack and was instantly hit. It was sent back a little ways because of the fire's force, though eventually it ran back into the battle field after the attack was finished. "Smoochum, use pound," the trainer called, and the smoochum complied. It started rushing toward Baku, and had it's fist ready for a good pounding for the opposing pokemon.

While Raymond saw the smoochum run at Baku he thought of an idea to defeat the ice type. Raymond looked at his Bagon and told him to intercept the attack. So Baku did what Raymond told him. Baku ran at smoochum and was pounded in the face at point blank range but he wasn't pushed back. Right when Baku was hit Raymond said "Baku use flamethrower one more time one more time." At the range Baku was it would be hard for the smoochum to dodge the full power of the flames. Baku began to blast his flames at the smoochum.

One could assume that the attack would have hit full blast, but just as Baku approached the smoochum, it jumped around to the side of the pokemon to pound it. Baku had used flamethrower, yet the smoochum was at the pokemon's side instead of infront of it. The smoochum decided that during it's attack, it would use another pound, so it instantly prepared it's hand for another one.

Raymond tried to get Baku to use flamethrower again but Baku was getting pissed at how much dodging the smoochum was doing. So instead of letting itself be hit by the pound it used bite to hopefully chomp on the pound to counter it.

The smoochum watched as the fist it was going to pound with got pulled into the opposing pokemon's mouth. It screeched in pain, as obviously it looked like it hurt alot. Furious with the opposing pokemon, smoochum prepared it's other fist for a pound, hoping that once it hit the other pokemon, that it's hand would be set free.

Raymond didn't expect Baku to go and bite Smoochum but Baku did wild things from time to time and Raymond was happy that he did. Raymond decided to use this to his advantage. Baku took a pound straight to the head but since Bagon is known for having a hard head he didn't let go. Raymond told Baku to use flamethrower one more time. Baku decided to go with what Raymond said. Baku's mouth was beginning to warm up as even though smoochum's hand was still inside. Baku let go of smoochum's hand when he opened his mouth to fire his flames.

The smoochum was still caught within Baku's mouth when it noticed that it was heating up. It knew exactly what was about to happen, and it knew it could not do much to prevent it. When it's hand was released, it was already to late, and once it was hit with the flamethrower, it flew quite some distance. It landed quite a few feet away then got up again. "Smoochum, I know you may be a little weak, but use powder snow," the trainer called, and watched as the smoochum ran at the bagon and blew some white like powder at the pokemon.

Baku was hit by the full blast of the snow and was knocked back into a tree. Baku wasn't frozen so he was shivering cold and was on the verge of being knocked out. Baku was struggling to move. Raymond knew that Baku couldn't take a hit like that again. Raymond contemplated switching Bagon out for his other pokemon.
"Baku can you keep going"
"BAGON!" baku said while nodding his head
Raymond saw how hard Baku was trying to continue battling and decided that one move can decide the battle. Baku's mouth began to warm up and then he fired his brightest flamethrower that Raymond had ever seen. It completely mesmerized Raymond and He hoped that it would defeat the smoochum or he would be forced to switch out Baku.

The smoochum, now on a roll, wasn't gonna take a hit like that one. The trainer thought so as well, so when he|she told it to dodge, it immediately did so, jumping to the side. It was a little weak, so it couldn't dodge all of the attack, but it didn't take as much damage as it would have being directly hit. "Alright, powder snow again," the trainer called, and the smoochum start letting out powder like snow at the opposing pokemon.

Raymond pulled out his pokeball to send his pokemon back to his pokeball. But before he could Baku used a flamethrower again to intercept the powder snow. The flames came into contact with the snow and steam was the result which covered the field. Raymond was about to send his Bagon back into his pokeball but he couldn't see him. Under the cover of the steam Bagon uses Dragon Rage to finish off the smoochum. All Raymond could see was purple flames heading toward smoochum.

Baku became lvl 12.

Smoochum wasn' able to see anything either, much like the trainers. The second the dragon rage came into contact with it, it knew that it was about to go down, and as the steam cleared up, that was exactly what one would see. The smoochum was face down on the ground, and Baku was still standing. Somehow it happened, and the smoochum's trainer knew that the Baku had used the steam to its advantage. The trainer recalled the pokemon to it's pokeball, and thought of what to do next. Of course, the only option was to send his last pokemon out for battle, but he was contemplating whether he should let the trainer have this battle. He was new to being a trainer, so he wasn't sure if the pokemon's type would be stronger or weaker to Baku's...

"Not bad," he said, still contemplating his thoughts on the remainder of the battle.

Raymond was impressed to say the least. Baku won in a battle where he had the disadvantage and it was his first one too. Raymond who had Baku's pokeball in his hand returned his pokemon to it and said " You did well, let's try to win with less hits next time."
Raymond put baku's pokeball in his pocket and pulled out another pokeball. Raymond let out the pokemon inside and said "Myth Stand." Out of the pokeball came a poochyena. Raymond wondered what pokemon his opponent will show off.

"Very curious, actually, as that is the same one I have," the trainer said, obviously giving the next opponent pokemon away. He picked the pokeball out of his pocket, and tossed it in the air, and it revealed a poochyena. "Well, we might be evenly matched this time, aren't we," he asked, slightly chuckling because this might be a long battle now.

Raymond didn't care that his opponent had the same pokemon as him. Raymond knew exactly who was going to come out on top. Raymond decided that since he never used Myth in a battle he would take the first move.
"Myth use sand attack"
Myth did as she was told and sent waves of sand at the opponent's poochyena. Raymond waited to see his opponent's pokemon reaction.

The trainer's poochyena watched as the sand came at it. Instantly it felt a little blinder, and it's accuracy wouldn't be as good for a few turns. It was mad, and it waited for it's trainer's command. "Alright Poochyena, tackle," he called, and watched as the pokemon quickly complied. It wouldn't be as accurate as it normally would, so it would probably not do as much damage, but it was willing to try to anyway. It kept charging.

Raymond saw how wildly the poochyena moved but Raymond wasn't done with it yet. Myth took the blow head on but she wasn't to effected by it.
"Myth use Howl"
Myth began to howl. Raymond had a plan and he was hoping Howl would help.

The other trainer and his poochyena heard Myth using howl. They knew that that move would raise the attack of the pokemon that was using it. They began to worry slightly because they did not know what Raymond was planning, but one would suspect that it had something to do with making a powerful attack. The trainer told his poochyena to prepare and be ready to dodge whenever it needed it, and the poochyena prepared itself accordingly.

Raymond liked the fact that his opponent was going on the defensive but Raymond wasn't done yet. Raymond looked at Myth who had been patient so far, Raymond hoped that she would be patient for a little longer.

"Myth use sand attack"

Myth did as she was told and sent some sand at the opponent's eyes.
