Run Away

Upon running away from a group of Pidgeys, Rocco reached Cherrygrove City.

"Guess they're gone now." said Rocco resting under the shade of a big tree. Cyndaquil got out of his Pokeball.
"Hey, what happened?" asked Cyndaquil.
"That Pidgey called a flock of Pidgeys and tried to attack me so I ran away. We're on Cherrygrove now." answered Rocco.
"What? Well, I need my first battle." said Cyndaquil.
"Sure. Well, see that?" said Rocco pointing to a Pokemon.

Cyndaquil turned around and saw a wild _____!

Pidgeotto lv 19 M, leader of the flock

"A Level 19 Pidgeotto. I want that one badly but you'd get beaten Cyndaquil. You're only Level 12." said Rocco.
"Maybe my Smokescreen can do the trick." said Cyndaquil.
"It has Gust." replied Rocco.
"Maybe you can search for other Pokemon to capture so I have someone with me. I just hope this Pidgeotto doesn't fly away." replied Cyndaquil.
"Wait, my teacher said that capturing a Pokemon is not always all about battling." said Rocco.

Rocco approached the Pidgeotto and kneeled down.

"Hello there Pidgeotto. I know you are Level 19 and for starting trainers like me, you're already strong. So, I want you to be a part of my team so that you can get stronger and I can teach you some moves like Heat Wave, Air Cutter, Twister and more cool moves. So, please, is it okay?" asked Rocco.
"But if it blow my Smokescreen away, I could attack it in mid-Gust, speed might be the key. If Rocco's plan won't work, I'd do it." thought Cyndaquil.

Pidgeotto attacked Rocco with Peck and flew away, a pidgey fell from the sky, it was abandoned for helping Rocco escape

It whined

Rocco managed to dodge.

"Hm?" said Rocco.

Rocco approached the Pidgey.

"Hey, where'd you come from?" asked Rocco.

Rocco grabbed Pidgey and Cyndaquil climbed on his clothes and sat on his right shoulder.
