A New Dawn

Aria and Skitty arrive in Jubilife City after a short walk from the next door Floaroma Town where they live. She knows there was quite a big contest hall in Jubilife City and is eager to sign up for her very first contest. Skitty is happily pearched on her shoulder with her tail curling down her back. She knows that she is going to use Skitty in the contest, however she felt that she needed something else. Something graceful, something that could really work with Skitty. She decided to look for a Pokemon, in the grass just above Jubilife City.

As the girl was looking around in the grass, with just the most adorable little skitty on her her shoulder, something stirred in the grass as two long pointy ears went up into the air behind her but the tail of the pokemon was longer. It seemed to be going into a kind of cilinder and at the end of the tail was a fluffy little end that wagged from left to right. Everytime the girl would turn around she would hide back in the grass with nothing showing wanting to play for a bit. The blue eyes of the pokemon kept looking at the girl, not in a kind of mischief way but more into a nice and playfull way. She wondered how the trainer would react to the playing.

"Wow, that's a pretty Pokemon! I wonder if it would work with Skitty though..."

Aria looks at Skitty who still has that adorable smile as always. Skitty rubs her cheek against Aria, her own way of showing affection. Aria pulls out her Pokedex and points it at Glameow, showing her Glameow's information including her attacks.

"Glameow, the Catty Pokémon. When angry, it flashes its claws, but it also can purr quite affectionately."

"Hm... It's moves don't really seem like they would work with Skitty, and it I just can't really see it."

With that Aria continues looking for a Pokemon.

The glameow smirked as the cat like pokemon heard the pokedex entry of her, and waited for the person to play with her. The cat pokemon seemed pretty bummed out at the fact that she didn't want to play with her and walked away with her head high in the air towards another patch of grass a bit further of.

However a tiny, very shy pokemon had been watching everything. Unlike the cat like pokemon, this pokemon's colour was easy spotable throught the grass since it was blue. Cotton like wings were rustling the grass as it tried to lay as still as possible. It was obvious that the pokemon seemed very scared of the human and that it tried to stay unnoticed.

Aria is about to walk away when Skitty suddenly leaps from her shoulder onto the grass and looks back at Aria, beckoning her with her little pink tail. She then ran away as fast as her little legs could carry her, and it was unclear where she was heading.

"Skitty slow down!"

Skitty ignores this request and continues running, finally stopping at a patch of thick grass, where Aria soon discovers that a little blue Pokemon with cotton wings is resting.

"Aw, what an adorable Pokemon!"

Aria gets out her Pokedex and points it at Swablu.

"Swablu, the Cotton Bird Pokémon. Swablu loves cleanliness and is quick to wipe off any unclean surface with its cotton-like wings."

Aria cautiously approaches Swablu, trying not to scare her.

The small blue pokemon watched as the cat like pokemon began to run around and after a bit stop in front of her as she ducked and placed here wings on her head, shaking as she was frightened. It wasn't normal for a pokemon to be this scared so somthing should have happened in the past as she looked up when the trainer came to her. She looked at her with her big bird eyes but still used the wings to make sure she was shielded from the playfull little cat pokemon and watched the girl come closer just looking at her, identifying and watching.

Aria noticed that the little Swablu was scared and was shielding herself.

"Aw, don't be scared, we're not going to hurt you!"

Skitty stops running and stands a little away from Swablu, to show that she wasn't a threat. Aria approached Swablu and put her hand out, to allow Swablu to inspect her without being frightened.

The swablu shielded itself until the kitty was gone as it had listened to the girl. It took a small while but the swamble stopped shielding itself and looked up to the girl. She noticed the girl put out her hand. The swablu slowly came closer as it began with a small touch on the hand with its cotton wing before a longer touch and then stepped on the girls hand. After some more touching making sure that the girl wouldn't be of any harm the pokemon let out a happy melodic kind of sound and began to fly all around her, singing very nice and looking very happy.

Aria laughs and Skitty runs around in circles around Aria underneath Swablu, as if to play with her. Aria smiles and then turns to Swablu.

"See! There's no reason to be scared!"

But after she says that Aria thinks about it, and realizes that the Swablu was much more scared than any wild Pokemon should be. She then begins to wonder if something happened to her.

"Was there a reason that you were so frightened?"

The swablu chirps happily at the skitty and begins to fly around the small cat like pokemon as he sees the girl smile and tell the pokemon there is no reson to be scared. The bird chirps happily as it flies in front of the girl her face as it keeps chirping now playing with skitty trying to make the skitty chase her own tail as the small blue bird pokemon flies up after the girl her question. The swablu shook his head from left to right, meaning no. However it looked at a few patches of grass. What the pokemon meant was that there were strong pokemon here in these grasses and that t was hard for the small blue pokemon to not get hurt when the big pokemon started to fight. After that it began to tease skitty again and chirp happily.

Aria looks around and notices some wild Pokemon, most of them a lot larger than Swablu.

"Oh, I get it, you're scared because you're so small... Hold on a second."

Aria gets out her Pokedex and scans Swablu again. She looks at the evolutions and realizes that Swablu can evolve into a relatively large Dragon Pokemon.

"How would you like to come along with me? With me you won't have to worry about big scary Pokemon, and one day, when you're really strong, you'll be able to evolve into a bigger Pokemon, and won't need to worry about big bad Pokemon anymore!"

Skitty continues to play with Swablu and chases Swablu when she tries to make Skitty chase her.

The pokemon waits and listenes to the girl as she begins to speak and when she is finished the pokemon nods her hair very wild meaning that what she is presuming about the grass is right. This was indeed the case there were some really large or strong pokemon in the surroundings and a small helpless pokemon like swablu couldn't do much to be honest as the pokemon tilted its head a slight bit to the left wondering what the device was the girl was using.

The small bird like pokemon kept this way when she asked the question and the pokemon thought about it. This trainer seemed like a nice person. The pokemon flew down to skitty and began to talk with the small pokemon, the swablu was asking the skitty how this trainer was. If it was nice, if it was forcefull. She didn't want to go with a mean trainer.

Skitty replied to Swablu's concerned look with a reassuring "Nya!" while smiling and seeming excited by thought of her trainer. Aria watched and figured that Skitty was saying nice things about her, and when she was done, Aria bent down to Swablu's height with a big smile on her face.

"You see, I'm a coordinator. That means that I enter contests where you have to make your Pokemon look really cute and pretty, or cool, tough and smart! And I know that we'd go far if you came along with Skitty and I! So what do you think Swablu, would you like to come with us?"

The small little bird watched as the cat like pokemon replied by giving a reassuring ''Nya'' With a smile on its cute face. The swablu wondered as the pokemon really seemed excited as they were talking about the female trainer that was standing not far from her. They kept talking to a certain point and the bird pokemon watched as she came to the face level of the pokemon. The pokemon flapped its soft wings slowly, staying into the air as she waited for the trainer to explain.

It turned out that the female trainer wasn't a trainer at all. It was something called a coordinator, that used the traits of the pokemon to win some kind of things called contests. As the coordinator talked about the thing called contests, the swablu was able to feel her excitement as she watch the girl talked and gave a happy tweet meaning she liked the sound of contests better then battles. The pokemon looked the grass for a moment. Then at the girl, and then at the skitty who was sitting next to the girl before she turned back and gave the girl a happy tweet for helping her, meaning that she wanted to be of help in her team and wanted to join contests as she flapped her cotton wings excited.

Aria stood and waited for the response, hoping that she would agree. And she did!

"Great Swablu! I'm sure you'll do perfect in contests! Now just hold still, I'm going to take out my Pokeball..."

Aria reaches into her bag and pulls out a very small red and white ball, and pushes the button on the middle of it, making it grow bigger. She then places it on Swablu's head to hopefully bring Swablu inside it so that Swablu can be captured. Aria is really excited, as Swablu is about to be the first Pokemon that she would catch on her journey, hopefully.

The small bird like pokemon listened to the instrutions to from the girl and watched as she went to take something out of her bag as it turned out to be a very small little ball, until she pressed the button. The small blue pokemon watched with twinkling eyes as it looked at the big red and blue ball. You could half expect the pokemon to act like a kitten would act with a ball of yarn.

The pokemon watched as te trainer brought the ball to her head. The button at the front of the ball tapped the head as the pokemon began to glow red as the ball opened. The pokemon slowly began to become absorbed into the pokeball until the pokmen had fully dissapeared. The pokeball in the girls hand however began to move softly as the button on the front glowed red as the pokeball wiggled once, then twice, then three times. After the third time there was a soft ''Click'' And sprakles were fired from the pokeball meaning the swablu had been caught.

Aria was extremely excited at capturing her very first Pokemon of her journey! She looked at the Pokeball and smiled, thinking about the contest... The contest... The contest! Aria forgot to pick out an outfit! She quickly rushed into the city and visited a dress store that looked nice. She was hoping for something pink, like her casual outfit, as it matched her little Skitty and was also her favorite color.

Aria opened the door and looked around, hoping to find something similar to the kind of thing that she was looking for. It had to be pretty, elegant, but not too boring. Something that would stand out, and be eye catching for the crowd.

The manager looked around in the shop. It was unusually busy with female's getting a dress for a contest. There were a lot of coordinators joining the contest this time and her staff was working overtime. The manager looked around trying to see if there was someone she could help, until her eyes landed on a girl with her skitty as she walked to her. ''Hello miss can I maybe help you with your search'' She said kind as she waited for a responds. She knew where all the dresses were and could easily help her find the ress she would have liked to have. She also smiled as she saw the kitty as she reached in her pocket and got a small pink sack. She searched for a bit and gave the girl a pink poffin. ''I think you're skitty will like this'' She said smiling.

Aria smiled at the woman as Skitty happily took the poffin and ate it, giving the woman an adorable "Nya!" of thankfulness.

"Thanks, I'm looking for an outfit for the contest. I'd like something similar to what I'm wearing just now, something pink, and something really elegant, but not too boring. I see your quite busy so you must be used to getting dresses for coordinators. Basically just something that can bring attention to me in the contest and also complement my Pokemon, and bring out the best in them!"

The woman's expression held a kind smile as she heard the cute nya of the skitty and gave it s a soft pet, hoping that the girl wouldn't mind as she looked at her and began to think. ''Hmm ok so I think I have some idea. What lenght would you like. We have long, that are dressed that go to your toes, we have medium that go under your knees and summer dresses that reach to your knees, also I am thinking something with sparkle. When the spotlight will hit you it will make you shimmer a bit so that the attention will be put to you and your pokemon but it wont be blinding.'' The manager said as she was awaiting a responds from the girl. If she had that she could begin to find a dress for her.

Skitty was petted and let out a long, high pitched "Nyaa..." as the woman petted her. She was happy that the woman was petting her as she loved affection. Meanwhile, Aria listened to what the woman was saying and replied.

"Sounds great! I love that idea! And about the length, I think I'd like a summer dress, I don't really suit long dresses as much. Also do you have anything like this with some white on it as well? I like the color combination of white and pink, I think they go well together."

The manager laughed as she heard the nice high pitched ''nya'' from the cute little kitty as she waited for the girl to begin her decision as she listened to her. ''Hmm, Yeah I am sure we have some dressed to your satisfaction, if you go down the hall go to room B4. Its a fitting room. In the meantime I will get you some dresses'' She told her as she went into the shop and got three dresses which she brought in not long after she was there. ''Ok so i brought three dresses you might like'' She said smiling as she gave her the first dress. The dress came to her knees and had a bit of a puffy bottom. It had a cloth white belt with a kind medium fake diamond in the middle, surrounded by other white small diamonds, and a hairpin that was a small bow also with one small diamond in the middle of it. She handed her the dress and waited for her to put it on. ''So what do you think'' She said as she stood beside Aria and looked with her in the mirror.

Aria follows the woman into the changing room, while Skitty waits outside by the door. She waits for the woman to come and then when she does listens. The woman hands her a nice pink dress with a sweetheart neckline, a white cloth belt, a large diamond on the middle and a poofy skirt. After a few minutes Aria emerges from the changing rooms wearing the dress, with her hair styled as follows:

And the ribbon on the back of her hair. She let out Swablu and did a twirl to her along with Skitty and the manager, with the mirror there as well.

The manager looks as she does a twirl with the two of her pokemon. ''So what do you think'' Hs says as she has two more options might she not like the dress she has given the girl awaiting a responds. It complements her figure but it could be the girl would like some more bling. She made sure that she would start with a bit less bling to see what the opinion of her would be. If she wanted more bling, there were enough. She even had a dress without almost no bling. However she wanted to stand out and bling was one of the best ways to do that.

Skitty gives out a yip of excitement, and jumps around, showing that she clearly likes the dress. Swablu flaps her little cotton wings and cries "Swablu!", showing that she also has taken a liking to the dress.

"I love it! It looks great! Is it okay if I try on another one? I really like your designs."
