Personality: Kotone is a shy girl, though she has her moments of being open and out there. She is out to protect pokemon from their captors, and hates to see people mistreating their pokemon. She has a harsh streak that she mostly uses to calm her sister down, though if it's turned to another, it's her sister that needs to help her calm down.
History: As a little girl, Kotone and her twin sister Akari were stolen away by bad people and were raised to care for pokemon, even to the extent of wanting to get them away from what they saw as trainers that abused their pokemon. Kotone stayed the kinder of the two, and, though a little bit older, seemed to get into more sticky situations than the other, which became cause for protection from her sister.
The only really happy part of her childhood was when the group gave her a charmander to raise.
She quickly discovered that she had quite the gift for controlling the air and could put off a soft light when needed. She secretly trained her air talent and quickly mastered much of the abilities she had found. Her favorite was causing her and her sister to gently fly over the ground.
One day, the leader of the group that had raised them brought in two eggs from the Sinnoh region. One was white and yellow, the other, black and purple. Kotone and Akari formulated a plan to steal the eggs away from the people who they came to know as evil, and run away. Though they were still rather young, they carried the eggs that seemed to call to them and ran from their one time home. Kotone was ecstatic to find that her egg contained a Denkineko. She had heard tails about them and her own abilities seemed to mirror its own. It was named shortly thereafter, giving it the name of her favorite story character, Rei.
Once, when her sister went off to do something, she searched around the old compound and found something odd. There was a person trying to make a swablu submit to them. Kotone was angered and the wind started whipping around the area, cutting up the man's clothes. The man eventually ran from the wind and the swablu flew over to her with another pokeball in it's mouth. A connection was instantly made and the swablu actually put itself in a pokeball. She was back at the meeting place with plenty of time to spare, and her sister was none the wiser.
