Chapter 4: Two Heads Are Better Than One

Having a more powerful team than the Hoenn's leader, Bruce opens the door of the Rustboro Gym with confidence all over his body. Treecko, is as usual tagging beside his trainer. As he stepped inside the gym, he hears a familiar voice behind him.

"BRUCE!"

Bryce knows who that is. "Crap... Not him... NOT HIM..." he turns around and sees the guy he does not want to be with right now. It's Chester Shinoda. "What you doing here?" asks Bruce. "I've got a good team already! You gonna challenge the gym? Let's go for it! Let's see what happens if two trainers challenges a Gym Leader at the same time. Maybe it will be a double battle! If so, the Leader will surely be toasted!"

Bruce nods in annoyance and kept walking further into the gym. "Come on out, Miss Gym Leader! All your base are belong to us!" shouted Bruce.

Treecko and Mudkip exchanges their what's up and other stuff.

Roxanne stepped out. "Roxanne sees Roxanne has some challengers. Roxanne is ready. Roxanne will not hold back. Show Roxanne your best!" She said, clutching a pokeball tightly.

(I know she doesn't talk like that :3 )

(The Hell's wrong with her? XD)

"I thought Roxanne was sweet and bright. This girl sounds like drab. Well, so it's a double battle? Eh, Chester can take care of your Nosepass. I'll take your Geodudes at the same time. So it's actually a three on two." Bruce suggested. "Um, no. What the Hell?" Chester replied. "You'll never learn unless you try." said Bruce.

(Nothing. :3 Just some humor...)

"All right. Make Roxanne proud! Go!" She said, releasing a Geodude and a Nosepass.

(I know. Hey where you got the trainer sprite on the left?)

"Um no. I meant two of your Geodudes out at the same time and your Nosepass." said Bruce.

Treecko is eager to fight two Geodudes at the same time!

"Crap... The Hell are you doing...?" worried Chester. "Well... I must look at the bright side. This will be over real quick. SWEET!" he followed up.

Mudkip's ready for his Nosepass.

(Secret! ;) Not telling!)

"Nuh uh! It's the League rules!" Roxanne said, shaking her head like a maniac.

"Or are you're just afraid that I might just beat you easily?" taunted Bruce. "Let's get this started! It's the battle with the first Gym Leader! Finally! This is I've been waiting for! It's kinda like a destiny! You gonna get that shining badge then you finally realize the true spirit of being a Pokemon Trainer. Then someday you gonna be the champ and be crowned. You'll be popular and stuff!" said Chester, he's obviously running his mouth again. "You've got such a noisy mouth... Whatever. Let's get this started! You go first, rookie." said Bruce. "R-r-rookie?! Aren't we both rookies? But, yeah, let's get this started! Ice Beam on the Nosepass!

A light blue ball forms in front of Mudkip's mouth. It then fires light blue beams at the opponent from the ball that freezes anything they touch. Mudkip used Ice Beam!

"Follow it up with Leer!" followed Bruce.

Treecko glares at the opponent and its eyes glow yellow. Treecko used Leer!

The Leer right after the Ice Beam should probably temporarily blind the two Pokemon from the twinkling light and lower their defense stat allowing the Ice Beam to hit Nosepass and having Geodude's defense lowered.

"Wait! Roxanne didn't even get to tell the rules..." Roxanne gritted her teeth as she saw the hits landing and shouted "Geodude! Nosepass! Use Rock Tomb!". Rocks cascaded down towards Mudkip and Treecko.

"I break rules!" answered Bruce, his bad-guy attitude kicking in, but he's not that evil. He's just rude mouthed but if you analyze his words, it means good and peace said in a bad way.

Treecko saw the rocks and ran away on all fours, and went towards a wall scaling up and reaching the inside roof of the gym looking downwards towards his opponents. Treeckos have tiny spikes located on their hands and feet that allow them to stick through solid objects.

When in a tense situation, Mudkips are capable of becoming strong enough to crush rocks bigger than itself, it used its instincts to crush the rocks away.

The two Pokemon evaded the attack!

"I love Pokemon insticts! Got that from the encyclopedia, Bulbapedia. I know a lot about Pokemon's special instincts." said Bruce.

"Treecko, stay up there so you'll be hard to attack! Absorb on Geodude!" Treecko leaves only his feet attached to the roof as he prepares for the attack. He's currently in an upside down position.

Treecko holds out his arms and fires two red beams from them at the opponent. Should the opponent get hit, its body glows red and Treecko drains its energy. Treecko used Absorb!

"Treecko's such a Spider-Man... Mudkip, once again! Ice Beam on Nosepass!" followed Chester.

Geodude tried to hover away and Nosepass tried to dodge but both clashed against each other and they collapsed as the attacks hit. "Hmm." Said Roxanne simply as she released her last Geodude.

"Err... That's it? Are you kidding ME?!" Bruce and Chester shouted at the same time! Mudkip and Treecko can't help but laugh a bit. "COMEONWECAMEHEREEXPECTINGAMOREFUNBATTLETHATWILLLASTFORLONGBUTWECOMEHEREFINDINGOUTITSTOOEASYRUSTBOROSUCKSITSNOFUNIWANTAHARDBATTLEITSOVERRIGHTAWAYCOMEONIVEHADAHARDERTIMEBATTLINGWILDPOKEMONISHOULDBEHAVINGAHARDTIMEFIGHTINGGYMSNOTWILDPOKEMONWHATDOESTHISMEANWHATISTHIS?" Chester bursted, talking like there's no tomorrow. "God.. I'm about to punch you in the face. You are an ear-ache." said Bruce, kinda getting pissed off.

"Whatever... Absorb." ordered bruce.

Treecko holds out his arms and fires two red beams from them at the opponent. Should the opponent get hit, its body glows red and Treecko drains its energy. Treecko used Absorb!

"ICE BEAM!" ordered Chester

A light blue ball forms in front of Mudkip's mouth. It then fires light blue beams at the opponent from the ball that freezes anything they touch. Mudkip used Ice Beam!

Geodude, being slightly lighter on it's feet (?) dodged them both as it used Rock Tomb at Mudkip.

By the time the move was used, Mudkip's pretty confident and relaxed. His special instincts didn't work as it will only do if faced with a tight situation. The rocks damaged Mudkip, but not very-effective.

Bruce: 'Down, Treecko!"

Treecko jumps down and lands behind Geodude while Mudkip is in front.

Chester: "Hey! This looks familiar! You taught me this, right?"[b]
Bruce: [b]"It's good you still remember. Jump on Geodude and hold on to him and then directly Absorb!"

Treecko jumps up and would try to land on Geodude stomach-first and then clinging on his circular rock body and then using the move upclose.

Treecko holds out his arms and fires two red beams from them at the opponent. Should the opponent get hit, its body glows red and Treecko drains its energy. Treecko used Absorb!

Chester: "Water Gun!"

Mudkip releases a spiral of water from its mouth at the opponent. Mudkip used Water Gun!

Geodude could but take the hit. As it fainted, Roxanne sighed. "It...seems Roxanne has yet much to learn..." She said reluctantly, handing over the 1,500 and Bulldoze TM.

Treecko gained 14 exp!
Treecko grew to level 13 with 12 exp remaining!
Mudkip gained 14 exp!
Mudkip grew to level 16 with 1 exp remaining!

What? Mudkip is evolving! Do you want to cancel Mudkip's evolution?

(NO! :3 Hey, are you gonna finish Snover's missing ability? :3)

"YOUWONBECAUSEOFMENOWWEGOTTHISBADGEANDITREALLYFEELSSOGOODANDITSOAWESOMEMUDKIPISEVOLVINGINTOAMARSHTOMPSOONHE'LLBESWAMPERTANDSTUFF" rumbled Chester.

Bruce and Treecko ignores him.

"Mudkip is evolving... It seems Chester's gone ahead of us in terms of leveling." commented Bruce.

"The battle was boring, Roxanne. Train harder so you won't be able to be easy to pwn."

The two leaves and heads for the next town.

(Whoops. Forgot about that. I'll do it right away.)

Roxanne hung her head in defeat as the duo leave the Gym.
