Personality: Anton is a bit of a recluse. He doesn’t like to have long conversations with anyone. He keeps to short, sharp sentences and likes to get his point across as quickly as he can. However, he does have a childish side that he displays or rare occasions but not usually around people. His reclusive personality only really started when he moved to Hoenn, while living in Johto he was a typical kid.

Anton is usually very relaxed and understanding. He knows that things won’t always go his way and he is very accepting of other people’s opinions. However, it doesn’t mean he wants their views shoved in his face constantly.

History: Anton was born in Pewter City while his parents were vacationing in Kanto and made a last stop in Pewter City to see the museum before traveling back to Johto. His birth was premature and because of it, he and his parents were forced to spend several weeks in Kanto before they could return home to Johto.

Once Anton and his family returned to Johto, they moved into a house in Olivine City, for his father to work as a ships captain and his mother to pursue an art career. Anton grew up quite distant from his parents as they were constantly working. Anton became quite self-reliant at an early age.

At the age of seven Anton got sick of life at home and attempted to run away. He began heading for Eckrutek city when he found himself cornered by a group of Raticate. Before the group could attack Anton’s father intervened with his hitmonlee who took care of the normal type pokemon with ease. Anton’s father took him back home and reviled that both he and his mother were pokemon trainers who were on the verge of the pokemon league before Anton was born.

Anton felt bad after hearing this as he believed it was all his fauly his parents had to settle down and stop using their pokemon to their full potential. He asked his parents if he could too become a pokemon trainer. He told them he was interested in pokemon but in reality he just didn’t want his parents to feel disappointed in the way their lives turned out. Unfortunately his father declined, as he believed Anton was just setting himself up for disappointment. His father told him to give up and focus on something else. Anton decided to do just that until he was old enough to make his own decsions.

Right before Anton’s fourteenth birthday his parents broke the news to him that they were moving to the distant Hoenn region. Anton refused to go and said that he was going to become a trainer in Johto. His father eventually forced him to come with them.

Once he arrived in Hoenn the family set up at Slateport City where his father yet again worked as a Sailor. His mother on the other hand moved back and forth between Lilycove and Slateport for her art. While Anton became angry and didn’t even attempt to make any new friends at his school and became somewhat of a loner.

His parents decided for his fourteenth birthday he was allowed a pokemon with promise he wouldn’t challenge any gyms until he was ready. Anton agreed to this and he was given a Tyrouge. The two quickly became best friends.

Anton became annoyed with the fact he wasn’t allowed to challenge gyms and that he was allowed minimal training with Tyrouge. He decided that with Tyrouge he would attempt to run away for the second time, except this time he would actually get somewhere. He left with Tyrouge to go and challenge Roxxane in Rustbro City. He managed to get a ride from Slateport to Petalburg on the back of a shipping boat.

Now that Anton has left home to start his adventure he decided to change his name to Robbie in order to stop his parents from finding him anytime soon. He is confident that he will prove his parents wrong and make it to the pokemon league.
