The Start of Everything {Mod}

Isis stepped off the ship that had brought her to Olivine City. The ocean air caressing her cheek felt amazing and looking down at Snubbull in her arms it looked as if she was enjoying it as well. Looking at the quaint little sea city it was amazing. Isis found the nearest bench to the ocean and tried to work out her plan of action. Her black hair drifted from underneath her hat in the wind. She decided that it was best that she make her way to the pokemon gym in Violet City. She got up off the bench and looked down at Snubbull and smiled, "Today starts everything Snubbull!" With that she began to try to navigate her way out of the City to the nearest route towards Ekruteak City, which was her next stop. After finding the route Isis decided that they needed to start training and maybe even catching new pokemon friends. She seen a patch of high grass along the start of the route. She walked off the path listening to her stilettos stop clicking as she left into the grass. Once she entered the grass she began to hear rustling. "Stay alert, it could be a wild pokemon!" Isis warned Snubbull as she watched the rustling grass.

An insect scuttled out of the rustling foliage. It caught sight of the trainer and started hissing savagely, body arching slightly. It was an insectoid Pokémon with a pronounced hump on the upper portion of its body. It had a thorax and head, which were mainly magenta with black markings that consist of rings on its shoulders, a band around each antenna, and an upside-down 'Y' on its neck. A prominent ridge leading down to a pointed tip splits the top half of its head, and its lower jaw is black. It had round, heavy-lidded eyes that bulge away from the head slightly. It’s dark green abdomen was segmented, and it has four pairs of stubby black legs. Two short feelers banded with black extend from its hindquarters.

It was a Venipede. Nearly half a metre tall, and weighing in at 11.7 pounds, it was a rather poisonous adversary. Isis' PokeDex, if she had one, would have beeped.

It discovers what is going on around it by using the feelers on its head and tail. It is brutally aggressive. Its bite injects a potent poison, enough to paralyze large bird Pokémon that try to prey on it."


Level 8

Isis was wondering what could possibly be making the noise in the grass, now she knew it was a Venipede. She adjusted her hat and smiled slightly, it was an interesting pokemon. She thought about what little she knew about Venipede; she knew it was a poison and bug type and that it could poison Snubball badly if she wasn't careful. She noted it's coloring which was strangely alluring in it's own way. Her short black hair blew in the wind and her trench coat wrapped around her body. She considered momentarily leaving it alone and then figured that it would be a great battle experience for her and for Snubball. "Alright Venipede, I would like to have a battle with you!" Isis told the wild pokemon, she looked down at Snubball and smiled. "Is that alright with you?" She asked Snubball. Snubball's pink soft fur stood on end and it nodded.

The Venipede seemed to calm down a bit. After all, the trainer had bothered to ask nicely. It clicked it's mandibles and gave a curt nod. She wanted a battle, he would not disappoint. Anyway, with his hardy nature, he was itching for a fight. It arched it's back again, attempting to look big and intimidating before shooting a barrage of poisonous needles at it's pink opponent.

(Just a warning. Venipede has Poison Point as an ability. Every time you use a physical attack, I will roll a die. It has a 30% chance of poisoning. Between 1 to 100, if it lands on 1 to 30, Snubbull will be poisoned. Also, Poison Sting has an equal choice of poisoning. Not to mention it shall have an Egg Move as well, which could also potentially cause poison. Should any of them hit, a die will always be rolled.)

Isis smiled at her opponent who seemed to have accepted her offer of a battle. She ran her fingers through her black silky locks and smiled at the pokemon. Snubball took this as her cue and jumped from Isis's arms and into a battle ready position. She was just in time to catch the pokemon shoot a group of needles toward Snubball that looked poisonous. Isis began to think quickly and decided on her course of action. "Now Snubball, use dig to avoid the needles and them come up for a Fire Fang!" She ordered confidently and watched as her Snubball barely made it underground and then come up toward Venipede with flaming jaws ready to clamp down.

The Venipede immediately curled up, as the fangs connected on it's hard, exoskeleton exterior, causing little damage. Thankfully, it didn't even get burned*. Unfurling from the Defense Curl, it eyed the Fairy type before releasing another barrage of needles. Poison Sting again. If they struck, it would be super effective.
