Enrichment

Caroline stood alone. Her dark eyes stared out at Viridian City. The gym, as she was well aware of, was the strongest gym in the region. She of course, did not plan on challenging it just yet. In her plan, she decided she would tackle the gyms in order. Her Porygon floated beside her as she stared empathetically to the scenery. She looked emotionless. She then shouted out something. Porygon floated backwards, spinning it's many bodyparts. "SCIENCE!", was the single word that emerged.

She had began walking out of Viridian, towards the forest while Porygon floated closely by. "It'll be a tough journey.", she said without a tone of voice at all, almost mechanically. "But under the circumstances, I hope to remain shockingly nice.", she stated firmly and quickly, moving foward. Porygon made no noises and just moved after her. She stopped and looked off to her right, into the vibrating grass as a *** emerged from within.

There is was, a level 13 Pidgey. It was apparently scavenging for some worms or something to eat.

Pidgey, Female, Lvl 13

Caroline looked at it. Elegantly, she pulled out a pokeball. I don't particularly like this pokemon, she thought. She sent it flying at the pokemon that had emerged without care. "Oh how we laughed and laughed. Except I wasn't laughing.", she stated monotoniously. She sighed after the ball gained it's needed momentum to gain the area to hit the Pidgey. She closed her eyes.

The pokeball knocked the Pidgey in the head, which sucked the poor pokemon into the pokeball. The ball clicked once before the Pidgey escaped. The Pidgey, now a little frustrated for being distracted, looked for the source of the distraction. It saw Caroline, and started heading towards her.

Caroline used her tackle attack. As the Pidgey drew near her, she ran at it, elbow outstretched. She glared down at the pokemon and didn't become fazed. Porygon did nothing but spin it's body around. In hindsight, the pokemon was preparing a Solarbeam as it's trainer used tackle...?

The Pidgey dodged the trainer's attempt to tackle it, and instead decided to use quick attack on the porygon. The pidgey disappeared instantly, and appeared behind the porygon.

Caroline came to a stop. "It's of no use, don't you understand?", she asked the Pidgey. "You fight against an equal opponent. Just give up now before we are forced to increase your punishment.", she announced to the Pidgey as Porygon moved, spinning it's body. It seemed to shrug off the attack, and turned to face the Pidgey. "Oh, did you think I was being nice? You've got your short sad life ahead. I'll let you get right to it.", she said as Porygon released a Solarbeam.

The pidgey didn't understand. How did that pokemon not take much damage... It was furious, about to attack again when the solar bean was released. It critically hit the pidgey, sending it flying into a nearby tree. The pidgy, more angry and hurt, decided to use quick attack once more on tghe porygon. It vanished instantly.

Porygon had no clue as to where Pidgey had vanished to. "Keep your guard up. It's just another variable.", she said. She looked around. She couldn't pick out where the Pidgey would attack. "Porygon, after the Pidgey hits you, use Psybeam.", she said.

Pidgey appearest instantly and swooped an atttack on the porygon. Its psybeam caught the pidgey offgaurd, and also did some damage. The pidgey was weak enough. It was a time to capture or defeat...

Porygon floated there, motionless aside from it's spinning body parts. Caroline approched the Pidgey and looked down upon it. She showed no emotion to it. Her dark eyes gleamed with sunlight as it showed her objective. "You've served your purpose. Now I only want you gone.", she announced, kicking at the Pidgey repeatedly. Porygon did nothing.

((Wow, serious pokemon abuse...))

The pidgey was now fainted. It disappeared.

Porygon gets 13 EXP

Porygon has gained a level! Porygon is now level 13! ((Matt, don't forget to edit trainers when they gain anything!!!))

Caroline didn't stop to thank or congradulate her Porygon. It floated to her side and kept with her strides. She didn't speak after they left the Pidgey. She had gotton what she wanted. She had her first taste of a pokemon battle. She continued towards the forest with Porygon. As they continued, she felt a strange set of eyes following her. When she finally felt the noise from the, Porygon fired its Psybeam into it.

A trainer was walking to challenge Caroline. He was shot back slightly by the psybeam, and angrily got up. "Is that any way to greet someone?" The trainer got up. "Anyway, Let's battle!"

Caroline looked at the trainer. "I don't want to.", she said to the trainer as she began to walk. Porygon seemed to show a sign of questioning, before it immediantly followed after her. She walked at a slow pace, testing the tranier's determination to lose. POrygon caught onto it's trainers mindset and kept the pace with her.

The trainer just walked away, thinking Caroline to be rude. Then another showed up. "Let's battle!"
