On my Way

Max was couldn't have been happier. He was on the final stretch of the Ilex Forest on the way back to Azalea Town and was excited to be going back to his hometown. Eevee was clearly growing tired of walking after the walk through the thick forest and yawned loudly to gain Max's attention. Max reached down and picked Eevee up and placed her on his shoulder. Max continued walking happily.

Max's travels around Johto to find his stolen Growlithe had been pointless. He had found nothing that helped him at all. He had finally decided to follow his dream of challenging the Pokemon Leauge and was going to start by challenging Bugsy, his hometowns Gym Leader.

Max realized he needed an extra pokemon if he had any chance of beating Bugsy knowing he had more than one pokemon. Growlithe would of course had been perfect. But all Max wanted was a strong pokemon who could fight well. Max scanned the trees surrounding him but not a rustle or a sound. Max decided to just head out of Ilex Forrest and see if he can find anything strong in the Union Cave which wasn't far from Azalea.

As Max walked past a shrine dedicated to the forests protecter Celebi, He saw the exit coming close up. He smiled at Eevee as they kept up the pace. Suddenly, a loud rustle came from a large tree full of sap. Max looked up to see the shadow of a pokemon. Eevee leaped off Max's shoulder and became ready for battle. Max looked up and awaited to see what pokemon will come out

A Beedrill buzzed out. He was carrying some honey and dropped it looking very clumsy. Then the other Beedrill came and began to attack him for dropping it.

Max's initial shock from seeing a beedrill went quickly and he considered capturing one. But he realized it would be murder as he would be the one being attacked if he began throwing pokeballs at either of them. Eevee looked a bit scared but was ready to fight. It looked up at Max to see want he wanted.

'Just wait it out Eevee' Max said, while looking up at the tree. He wondered if anything else would jump out.

The fight continued, it looked unbearable to watch. The Beedrill soon fainted, but was still being attacked frantically. Nothing else was in sight. Soon a little Caterpie squirmed out using Poison Sting but one Beedrill used one attack once and it fainted.

It seemed as if Max was surrounded by fainted pokemon. The bedrill in the forrest seemed bent on knocking all pokemon in the forrest out. Max felt like he should step in but was unsure if his Eevee would be enough to take out the powerful pokemon. Eevee seemed scared and she ran behind Max's leg.

'No help from you' Max thought. He wished a stronger pokemon would step in and take care of this bedrill, But it didn't looked to likely. The only thing left to do would be to try and sneak away, but the bedrill are blocking the path to the exit. What to do, what to do...

Then they threw the fainted Beedrill at Eevee. They didn't have much of a choice now.

Max had no options left. He had to fight. He looked at Eevee scared out of her mind. This will be a tough battle.

'Come on Eevee, we've got to battle' Max said enthusiastically. 'Go tackle attack!'

Beedrill was hit and fights back with TwinNeedle along with the other Beedrill.

Eevee fell back in a heap after the Bedrills double twineddle attack. Eevee looked seriously hurt and didn't look in shape to fight. Max didn't know what to do, Eevee was his only pokemon and there was no way he could fight off both these bedrill with just her.

'Come on Eevee you have to try!' Max yelled. Eevee slowly got to her feet but was badly bruised and Max doubted she could take another attack.

'Eevee sand attack!' Max ordered. Eevee sprayed the two Bedrill with sand blinding them. Max knew this would only last a short while so he had to think of his next move.

The attack got sand stuck on the Beedrill's wings. Theyb all fell to the ground unable to move.

'Eevee now's your chance!' Max yelled. 'Shadow ball attack!'

Eevee began summoning the shadowy blob. Max and Eevee had been perfecting the move for a while now and Max always like to test it on weakened opponents. Eevee fired the blob at the group of bedrill and hoped it hit.

It worked and there was a huge explosion. They all lay unconsious, and the one being bullied woke up and thanked Eevee and Max. His friend Heracross flew out and thanked them for saving his friend.

Max scooped up Eevee and hugged her. He was proud that she had finally perfected shadow ball and that she saved the bedrill. The Bedrill seemed happy and flew over to Max and seemed to thanking him and Eevee.

Max was startled when a Heracross also flew over to himself and Eevee. It seemed happy and flew around Max as if to say thank you for helping. Max thought that this Heracross would make a great new edition to his team. He grabbed an empty pokeball from his belt and widened it.

'No problem Max said' referring to his help with the Bedrill. 'Now Heracross its time I see how strong you are'

Max threw the empty pokeball and Heracross to see if luck would be on his side and let him capture Heracross

Heracross, feeling thankful, allowed himself to be captured.

Max picked up the pokeball grinning widely. He had finally caught another pokemon. Eevee was looking tired as well so he let her rest in her pokeball. Max began walking out of the forrest with a pokeball in each hand.

'Heracross and Eevee' Max said smiling. 'Watch out Bugsy, its time to loose!'

He soon reached the city.
