Quest For The Badge

It was a peaceful day at Oreburgh City. The sun was shining, and most people were outside. Suddenly, a shape appeared in the sky. It got closer and closer. It was a Togekiss! It swooped down and landed on the ground. There was a girl riding on it. She stepped off and returned it. Her blonde hair gently blew in the midsummer breeze. She smiled at what a nice day it was. There was a Pichu perched on her shoulder. She gently patted its head.

About an hour had passed. The girl, who's name was Holly, was training her Pokemon. Her Togekiss was trying to boost his speed by stop-watching how long it took to fly around the mountains and back. Her Pichu was using Thundershock on the rocks. This made it extremely hard to do anything, as they were rocks. But it had to learn, as Roark used Rock types.

A few hours had passed after training. All five Pokemon were toughened up. Holly decided they were ready. She walked over to the Gym, Pichu perched on her shoulder. She pressed the buzzer, awaiting the presence of Roark. Holly and her Pokemon were very excited for their first badge.

After a moment, the door opened wide. Behind it stood Roark, pith helmet and all.
"Ahh, a trainer," he said, beckoning Holly in.
"I'm assuming you want a battle, right?" he asked, his hand moving to one of the Poke Balls on his belt.

"Yeah! If you wouldn't mind. My name's Holly by the way," she said.
"Pichu!" Pichu said excitedly smiling at Roark.

"Good to meet you," he said. Without further ado, he grabbed the first Poke Ball off of his belt and sent it whizzing onto the battle field. A Geodude erupted from the inside of it, glaring menacingly at Pichu.
"Go ahead," said Roark to Holly, "make your move."

"Okay, go Glaceon!" she cried.
A Glaceon emerged from her Pokeball, smiling at Geodude and looking confident. She spun and Used Ice Beam so that if it hit it would encase Geodude in a shell of ice.

Due to the fact that Glaceoon was more than twice Geodude's level, the attack did quite an impressive amount of damage. It was almost enough to knock Geodude out, but not quite. However, Holly's idea about encasing Geodude in ice worked, and it was frozen in a ball of ice! It tried to move and fight back, but it was impossible.

Glaceon the used Quick attack hoping to shatter the case sending sharp shards of ice everywhere doing damage and also hitting Geodude with the attack causing extra damage which, if a hit, would almost deffinetly defeat Geodude.

Glaceon shot straight to the center of Geodude's ice casing, knocking out Geodude instantly. Glaceon gained 12 exp! Roark returned him with a grimace.
"Alright, Onix, it's you!" he said, tossing Onix's Poke Ball into the air. Onix popped out with an "Oniiiix!"
"Onix, use Rock Throw," called Roark, putting on a determined face for Onix's sake. Onix lifted up a nearby rock in his mouth and spat it unspectacularly at Glaceon.

Glaceon swiftly jumped out of the way. She then, since it was her strongest attack, used Ice Beam on Onix.
