Rayle's Journey: Arrival at Vendanturf

Rayle left Rusturf Cave with Mudkip by his side and came out at Vendanturf Town. He looked around, not the biggest town he had ever seen, but a nice looking one, he thought, as several civilians passed by. Well, they are happy, is all that crossed his mind as he headed towards a Pokemon Center.

As he walked towards the building, Mudkip saw a tent with a man standing outside it, holding a Pokeball. On top of the Tent was a sign, "BATTLE TENT." Mudkip stared at it before tugging on Rayle's leg and pointing in the direction of the tent, "Ah interesting," Rayle said, "Maybe later."

Soon he arrived at the Pokemon Center and entered through the automatic doors, with Mudkip behind him. He then picked out Mudkip's Pokeball and zapped him into it, then pulled out Togepi's and placed them on the counter, "Could you please heal my two Pokemon?" he asked.

"Sure thing"said Nurse Joy as she put the pokeballs in a tray and put it onto the healing machine effectively healing the two pokemon.Nurse Joy got the tray and put back it back on the counter."I hope to see you again" said Nurse Joy as she attended to other trainers leaving Rayle alone.

As he took back the two Pokeballs, a thought hit him, Nurse Joy is an expert in Pokemon isn't she? I wonder if she knows how far my Eggs are from hatching, he thought and so pulled out his Eggs, the one which he had pulle out from the forework crate and the one he had found in the extra area outside the cave. One he was almost certain would hatch into an Adano. The other, he wasn't so sure about. He waited until the crowd was clear to go upto Nurse Joy and say, "Nurse Joy, would you have any idea how far these Eggs are from hatching?"

Nurse Joy turned around to see the trainer who wanted his Pokemon.Looking at the strange egg,Nurse Joy touched the egg a bit as if trying to sense the warm or the heartbeat but nobody could tell for sure "Maybe a day or two," Nurse Joy responded but was quickly cut off by a trainer rudely entering the Pokemon Center and telling her to heal his Pokemon."Sorry,I need to attend to others"Nurse Joy said to Rayle before heading off to attend to the trainer who wanted to heal his Pokemon.The Rude Trainer handed Nurse Joy his Pokeballs and Nurse Joy turned around and healed his Pokemon with the healing device and Nrse Joy gave his Pokeballs back to the trainer.

(I have 2 eggs btw)

Rayle shrugged, "Okay then," he said as he walked outside, not needing to open the doors as they were automatic Oh how they intrigue him, automatic doors. When he was bored he used to spend hours figuring out where the stepping points were, how long they were open for how much weight is required, but now he simply ignored them.

As he walked outside he sent out Mudkip and Togepi, "Alright guys lets train," he said, jogging to the east with his Pokemon trying to keep up beside him, Mudkip was doing a good job but Togepi was a bit behind. Rayle tuned around to see where she was but since he wasnt looking he tripped over something. Quickly, he go up to see what it was.

A Slakoth looked up at the Rainer and he crawled ignoring the loud Pokemon and trainer.Slakoth seemed as if he was dozing off as he looked suspiciously at them while crawling by the trainer and the Pokemon.

The rude trainer from before walked out of the Pokemon Center and arrogantly looked at Rayle before walking past him with his hands in his pockets and he left the scenery.He looked back at Rayle once and he headed towards the east probably going towards the next town or going to train the tall grass.

Rayle stared at the trainer, "What a wierdo," he thought, "Mudkip use Warer Gun in that grass," he ordered, hoping for some hostile wild Pokemon to jump out and attack.

When the water hit the grass something seemed to move but it quickly subsided and everything was silent for a while until there was a cry "Squirtle Squirtle!" and a Squirtle appeared and looked angrily at Rayle and Mudkip.A humanoid shape could be seen from the rear and the trainer from before looking very irritated."Are you purposefully trying to pick a fight?"said the trainer while Squirtle walked to the trainer and held close to him while saying "Squirtle Squirtle" in a low voice.The trainer said something again "Are you that desperate to have a trainer battle?"he asked in a calmer voice.

"Haha not really but Ill battle you if you like," laughe Rayle as Mudkip stared at the Squirtle aggresively. Nothing he didnt think he could handle. Rayle returned Togepi to her Pokeball, "Oh yeah by the way man where did you get that Pokemon from?" Rayle asked, thinking about what his father taught him, "Apparently they are only found in the Kanto region, and theyre very rare."

"I come from Kanto,I defeated the champion in Kanto and I came here with a new pokemon seeking a new challenge"said the trainer who looked intently at Rayle."Alright then,Ready or not here I come!Squirtle use Water Gun!"said the trainer before Squirtle nodded and unleashed a torrent of rapid water at Mudkip not being very wise as Squirtle was using a move that would be ineffective against Mudkip.

The trainer stepped back and smirked as torrents rushed at Mudkip.

Rayle nodded, "Ah okay, fair enough then," he said as Mudkip was slightly knocked back by the Water Gun but did a roll and recovered, "Use Ice Beam Mudkip, remember the secret pressure point?" he grinned. Mudkip smiled and use Ice Beam at Squirtle, which wasnt very smart either as it wasnt very effective on Squirtle, however it was a strong attack in itself, so it would still probably do a lot of damage.

Rayle smiled, he was using his tactic again. Pretend to go for a secret pressure point but in truth it was all a distraction. Rayle liked fighting like that, and so did Mudkip.

(Ice Beam's base power is 95, half that is 47, still prety high for this level)

"Withdraw Squirtle!"said the guy before Squirtle retreated back into it's shell defending him from the icy beams.Squirtle got out of his shell once the ice stopped and the guy said muttered something and Squirtle seemed like he heard as Squirtle nodded.The guy moved forward then back flipping his orange hair as Squirtle stood in a very intent and serious stance."Is that all you got?"asked the boy arrogantly.

Other pokemon looked at the battle that was taking place and the Slakoth from before looked curiously at the two trainers and their two water-type pokemon.Slakoth yawned and walked back to a tree where it came out of and climbed the tree before drifting into sleep.

(it should still have taken most of the impact, withdraw isnt protect, it simply raises defence a bit)

Rayle sighed, "Mudkip use Ice Beam again, its kind of obvious its got a plan up its sleeve due to the guy whispering to it, you really should be more subtle," he grinned as Mudkip began to spit ice in a violent bean towards Squirtle again, shaking left and right slightly because it was likely that Squirtle was going to dash to one side because of its 'plan.'
