Docked at the Port

Terrie spun around as she got off the boat. She had left her boyfriend back in Minoru because well, she didn't have much of a choice. She wanted to get stronger and gave him the excuse that she was going to visit some relatives for a while. In truth, she was back to the gyms again. Pichu popped out from Terrie's bag and fumed at her spinning.

She giggled at Pichu's attitude and tilted her head. "Well Pichu, you could always stay in that pokemon.", she said to Pichu as she started walking. The small mouse only grunted in discomfort, climbing out of her bag and onto her head. "I'm glad you're active.", she said as she found herself outside the Pokemon Center.

As Terrie went to walk in, as caught something, meeting a ___________.

.............Meanwhile, a pokemon trainer woke up after a long night's rest. He was at the pokemon center's second floor. His home was far away so he could not return. He had just finished conquering the Vermilion Gym two nights ago when he took on Lt. Surge on a long battle. The battle ended when his Druddigon used Dragon Claw on a weakened Raichu and finished it in three strikes. He was supposed to leave the day after, but he got lazy and stayed longer. He got out of bed, put on his clothes, and got ready to set out. After nearly twenty minutes, he came out in full spirit.

As Terrie went to walk in, she met the boy who just finished collecting his pokemon from Nurse Joy. "Hello," he greeted Terrie. It was not regular for him to greet somebody, but he did. Nurse Joy was surprised too. "Are you a pokemon trainer?" The boy asked Terrie.

Terrie didn't know what to say as Pichu learned it's head foward to sniff the boy. It took Pichu a few minutes to get Terrie out of whatever she was in. "Pichu Pi Pichu!", Pichu said as it pulled back and Terrie shook her head and smiled. "Hi, and I guess you could say I am.", she said to him. I look like such an idiot, Pichu why couldn't you do something before, she thought.

"That's good," His gentle smile turned evil, "I challenge you to a pokemon battle!" He said, raising a pokeball and pointing it at Terrie. His Monferno, who was at his side, jumped in joy at the idea of battling again. Nurse Joy smiled as a big sweat went down her head, she realized why he greeted Terrie; to challenge her. In the pokeball, a Seviper hissed, ready for battle. It was his weakest pokemon, probably stronger than Pichu as in terms of experience but it had very bad moves that probably can't catch up with the quickness of Pichu.

Terrie jumped back when the pokeball was raised. "Well I can't really say no.", she said with a sweet smile. Pichu jumped down into her bag and retrieved a pokeball. Terrie glanced down and took the pokeball. "Huh, you don't feel like fighting? Okay Pichu, you can watch then.", she said. "But wait, who's pokeball is this Pichu?", she asked as she pushed on the button.

Her different colored Butterfree emerged from the pokeball and floated by Terrie. "Hey Butterfree, you wanna battle?", she asked the insect, who replied by nodding. "Okay, I guess I have my pokemon. Whenever you're ready.", she said with a smile.

Blaine grinned in respect when she accepted the battle. "Alright." He watched on as she played around with a pokeball and after some waiting, sent out a strangely colored Butterfree. "Hey! Is that a Shiny Butterfree?!" Blaine said, astonished. "Not bad." He said. Then he replied to her next statement. "We can't battle here, let's go outside." He said, seeing that Nurse Joy was not too happy with the idea of a battle inside the Pokemon Center. He walked out, "Come one, follow me." He said as he did so.

Outside, he went to a specific grassy area where there were wild pokemon. This was the perfect place as people cannot interfere, most are scared by the wild pokemon. There was a little high place with lots of trees. He jumped on and got ready for battle. "This is a forest area, we both have advantages. Your Buttterfree, just like my.." He paused and sent out his Seviper from his pokeball. "Sevipperrr!!!" It hissed. "Where was I? Ah! Your Butterfree, just like my Seviper, is adapted to these kind of areas if I am right." He ended his statement. "Are you ready?"

Terrie followed silently. She was slightly nervous about using Butterfree, and not Pichu. But then again, Pichu decided who was battling. All she could do was hope that Butterfree was going to hold his own against this boy's pokemon.

"I wouldn't say Butterfree has any advantages, but thanks...I guess.", she said, wishing she had Cobalt here to fight in her place or cheer her on. But things had changed and she lied to continue on her journey. Butterfree seemed more than excited to battle. Terrie nodded. "Yeah, we're ready!", she said.
