Dog Name

I JUST GOT A DAWG! It's a Siberian Husky and it's BIG. It's heavy and hard to carry even if I weigh 174 lbs. 0.0 It's big though. Anyway, I searched net for cool dog names but I hate'em. Its a male anyway. So... any suggestions? Ill be editing the poll if theres any suggestion and help me vote a name.

I thought of naming this Boxter ll because I had a dog named Boxter when I was 3, I wonder why named it Boxter. Another name is Mysterio but its weird, then I came up with Meow but its gonna be effin' annoying and final name I thought is Chomp. But I need a better name. Thanks. It hatez me, when I carry it it tries to bite me so I quickly put him down. >:3 but he'll like me soon. after putting him down, it stares at me but I give it some vanilla cookies and it eats and sticks his tongue out then i give him more and he lies down but when i carry him, he becomes wild again. 0.0 wonder when can i carry him freely :3 but i decided to put him on my lap while sitting and typing and he lies there, maybe he doesnt like being carried or being babied, hes not a baby after all xDD.

Many bigger dogs don't like being carried. Why? Because it puts strain on them the way that you pick them up. It often hurts, this could be why it's trying to bite you when you do so >.> My dog only lets me pick her up when she wants to see out the window, and she's not overly large.

Mordecai: The name means warrior, or war-like.
Akuji: means 'Dead and Awake'
Braeden: means 'From the Dark Valley'
Bade: means 'Full Moon'
Kyros: means 'Leader' or 'Master'

XD my Friend has a Siberian Husky too. They're pretty big when they've grown

Anyway, perhaps name that reflects it's size? (I Dunno what i mean by that, but whatever XD) A name that you would imagine a big dog to have, Like Bruce or something? XD

Here's my thought: A name that you would like calling it every day. You don't wanna get tired of its name. Name it from what your heart feels it should be nicknamed. :)

You're trying to carry a Siberian Husky which - by the sounds of it - seems full grown!? Are you off your rocker? Why would you feel any sort of urge to carry a husky in the first place?! Anyways, how are you holding it? Because chances are you're holding it wrong and making it extremely uncomfortable, maybe even making it hard for the dog to breathe. I suggest that you all around STOP trying to carry it.

Anyways, on names, I can only think of one: Balto, like that movie. My friend's dog is named that (he was when they got him), but it's weird because that dog is a Black Lab/Golden Retriever mix, so he looks nothing like Balto from the movie - which, I'm assuming, is what he's named after.

Well, Balto was a real dog, and didn't look like he did in the movie either. He also wasn't half wolf :P If it's black and white, Steele from the Movie would be a better suited name, as he was a black and white husky.

@Quibbloboy: I carry him just like how you carry a baby but it starts trying to bite me and such. Can't carry it like how you are supposed to because I remember when I carried my dog when I was 3, I didn't knew it cant breathe easily. 0.0 Its a young so he cant bark or something. I had a bit of trauma. But it loves lying on my lap :3 and am running out of cookies because of him >=( xDD meeh its cute anyway.

Warlike because just a while ago this morning, I thought he's missing but he's in the terrace so I watched over him when a lamey looking dog passed by (I wonder whose xDD) then he barked at it and attacked. 0.0 I managed to carry him away and return him back inside quickly. The other dog wasn't attack or damaged. Stupid Dog.... 0_0 WTF, IMMA NAME IT COURAGE! xD Hmm... Mordecai... or... Courage...?

well, I named him Gnaw, yeah strange but I named him Gnaw because he raped my rubber slippers, had teeth marks on plastic table leg, gnawed his steel cage and he ate all my strawberry cookies, everytime I try to eat one, he bugs me out and he destroyed his plastic plate for dog foods, xDD am getting new rubber slippers and plastic plate for him, maybe not plastic plate anymore :3 this dog is wild

... Um, for future reference: sugary snacks are bad for dogs. If you're gonna give it treats ▬ there are pet stores for that. :< I just don't want your wild but loveable doggy getting sick. :3 Try carrots -- dogs love em to death.

Lol, maybe you should take him to a trainer. The more you give in to what he wants, the more he'll disobey you. In other words, you're becoming your dog's bitch. lmao

Dogs don't get sick of human food >.> not the way people do...that's not a good idea. Besides, people break the swearing rule rather often, Not like she dropped the fbomb or something.

Tired of so and so. And no, you really shouldn't. Like I said ▬ dogs aren't very good with sugary foods. They can literally get sick- the ill kind of sick- if you give them too much. Just like humans would, but dogs have a much lower tolerance.

I really do suggest you start training your dog, though. "You can't teach an old dog new tricks." Once your dog has become accustomed to getting what it wants, it'll take years to fix: if you can fix it at all. Start by giving it healthier snacks, like carrots- some dogs even like pieces of apple. It's kinda like how you should be raising a young child, by giving them a healthy diet, rather than spoiling them when they ask for a cookie. The only difference is, this kid will bite your a** if you don't give it what it wants. ;]

it doesnt hurt me when he wants something, he just barks and barks, purrs and sometimes when he gets bored of waiting, he rapes my slippers but not my foot. well, ill remember that lesson and yep, i might try giving him some fruits and such. am i allowed to give him cereals and milk? xD
