Personality: Thomas is a bit of an oddball in that he's eccentric and probably a little insane. to put it bluntly he has no concept of boundaries or even common sense, he does the first thing that comes to mind and the only time he won't is if he gets a better idea right when he's starting the first idea. It could be anything from pretending to be a girl or catching a boulder with his teeth, if he thinks of it he's going to try it. Another unfortunate thing is that he's very free with his emotions, if he's sad he's going to bawl, if he's happy he's going to jump around, if he's angry he's going to explode, it is impossible for dear old Tom to have just a little of an emotion, he's always in an extreme. As a result every single thing he does seems horribly exagerated and overdone. That means everything from giving commands in a battle to talking to someone else, he is always jumping around, glaring, smiling, crying, or just being a plain old nuisance.

Unfortunately, it doesn't help that he's actually a very good actor when he puts his mind to it, heavy-handed emotions aside he really gets into the mood. If he dresses up as a pirate he's really going to seem like a pirate (albeit an emotional pirate), if he dresses up as a high-born lady he will seem like a high-born lady (albeit a very emotional one), its a very annoying and confusing tendency of his. In fact, many have stated that with his talent at acting he could probably be a pretty good coordinator. Which he is thinking about, but if he does do the whole coordination thing its going to be a side-gimmick to being a trainer.

When it comes to pokemon he finds them all incredibly fascinating creatures, truly amazing beings that make the world a colorful and truly fascinating place. However, there are types he likes more than others and he goes out of his way to catch the following types: Fire, Fighting, Poison, Ground, Flying, Ghost, Dark, and Steel. He still likes the other types but not as much, and while he might try to catch one of the other types he will likely be looking for someone to trade with as he believes that the pokemon deserves a trainer who will love it as much as he loves Fire, Fighting, Poison, Ground, etc. type pokemon.

History: Both of Thomas' parents were breeders, people obsessed with raising strong, healthy, and amazing pokemon. His father, Antonio Hernandez, pursued that by raising the pokemon much as a trainer does, while his mother, Samantha Augustine, did it by simply raising pokemon, feeding them, giving them excersize and all the usual breeder rigamarole. While Samantha never became well known, Antonio's desire to raise strong pokemon using the "trainer method" as he called it garnered him some attention. Ironically from the trainer community. The reason was that although he never pursued badges, he managed to raise some very strong pokemon by battling them against other trainers, so many people believed that Antonio was a trainer instead of a breeder. The man tended to ignore this, as well as questions about when he'd begin gaining badges to battle the pokemon leagues, plural. Antonio traveled all throughout the regions to raise powerful pokemon, and it was during a stint in the Kanto region that he met Samantha.

To make a not that long story into a really, really short story the two fell in love and got married. They maintained two homes, one in the Kanto Region (Samantha's home region) and one in the Hoenn (Antonio's home region). It wasn't long until Thomas Hernandez was born! Being raised by two respected pokemon breeders who absolutely love pokemon tends to have an effect on people. Thomas was no exception, growing to love pokemon of all types, but strangely some types more than others (his parents have no idea what caused this). At any rate it was quite clear that while he was interested in breeding, it was more of the trainer aspects that appealed to him. The thought of raising a team of powerful pokemom and going on an epic journey to let your name be known was fantastically appealing to him. So, his father arranged to start the boy off as any would, he obtained for dear Thomas a Torchic, which embodied two of the child's favorite types. Then Samantha and Antonio gave the boy a choice, start in the Kanto or the Hoenn region. After giving it some thought, Thomas decided on the Hoenn region, and so he was taken to Littleroot town, where all Hoenn trainers begin their journey.

Well the thing is he's not a coordinator...yet. He might try it out later on his journey but he's always going to be a trainer first and foremost, thanks though.
